  4. Hi folks, A few years back I posted a few photos here on the forum about my rather sad original #58001 Porsche: https://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/52184-is-this-a-58001-porsche I never got around to doing anything with it since then (my focus is offroad RC) so I've listed it on starting at a dollar: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-original-58001-Tamiya-Porsche-Turbo-RSR-934-RC-car-DOLLAR-START-/122706228385 or search for "Vintage original 58001 Tamiya Porsche Turbo RSR 934 RC car DOLLAR START" eBay item# 122706228385 I'm in Australia, but happy to ship to many countries in the world. Thanks for looking, Steve (1944GPW)
  5. Hi boyz! Sellig is back and presents his new restauration... Here is the base... In poor condition. But I always loved this buggy. So let's go! First of all, see what can be kept, at this step I don't now what will happen with this frame. But i sanded it with a sandblasting gun & baking soda, polished the roll cage with... Shoe shine, refilled the right gap with plasticard.Last but not least : I built a wonderful roof (isn't it?) from aluminium sheet. However the drive train isn't so bad (but no bearings). All the suspension arms show an important slack, the shocks (What shocks !?) are worn to die, all wheels & tyres too.The hood is out of order... That's all for tonight, see you later!

  9. A little help from the pros please. I am rebuilding my 86 Hornet. Looking good so far. I purchased a Tamiya TBLE-02S ESC to replace the original MSC, as it was just beat up beyond repair. My original Futaba receiver(FP-R2GS) is in great shape so I was planning on using it for the rebuild. However, I have come across a problem The connector from the new ESC to the receiver is totally different from the original. 1. Are these two components compatible? 2. Is there an adapter available? Source? 3. Or can I simple snip off the connectors and rewire? Any help is greatly appreciated!! kal
  10. Hey there! Recently found an old Porsche 935 turbo r/c model still new in it's box. The box it's self is kinda beat up but everything inside is still in its packaging and untouched! I did some research on it and know it's a rare and valuable model, because of that I would rather sell it to some one who would really want it for their collection. I'm located in Boston, MA Link to a gallery for more pictures: https://goo.gl/photos/8acaVGkzTrpheocx9 You can make an offer for it here or private message me. Model has been put up for sale on Ebay! If there's anyone interested in it you can check it out here. >> http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-Martini-Porsche-935-turbo-58002-/112473651042?hash=item1a2ff3b762:g:lvYAAOSwvPRZYBdL
  11. Hi, I am in the UK and I have an old Futaba 4EX 4 channel Transmitter I am running my Tamiya Ford F350 Hi Lift with. The problem I have is it came with an old 1000mah 8 in a row AA NiCad battery pack with a JR/HiTech connector (I think), which now is only lasting 30 minutes or so. I have seen suitable larger mah packs for sale but wondered if I can I use a lipo pack without any modification to the transmitter. Obviously I would have to consider the size of the pack. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks
  12. Selling up my collection over the next few months, please do keep an eye open for some very rare and sought after Tamiya items. Feel free to PM me any questions. Thanks for looking. Very best of luck. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/anchordriver/m.html?item=182155358527&hash=item2a694e313f%3Ag%3AauQAAOSw3R1XTta5&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  13. I received a Grasshopper Candy Green edition from my wife last xmas and after having it out on the table for the last 2 weeks just got around to starting it last night. My first exposure to RC cars was first a Buffalo bobcat or something which my uncle bought in the early 80's, this broke every two seconds and he replaced it with a Grasshopper which him and my Grandfather both bought one each. I remember visiting one day and they were both up the table building them together. One was white and one painted red. A year later I got a Hornet for my birthday which as my first has always held a special place for me and lots of memories. While I owned a Hornet I did fit a grasshopper shell to it which I sprayed red. I have no idea where it ended up, I think it was stolen. Anyway, it was interesting building the GH, I never appreciated all the subtle difference between it and the Hornet, I though it was just rear tyres, rear shocks and motor. Box Art... Box contents... It comes with TEU105 speed controller and I shall be using a Tamiya pistol tx and rx with a tamiya steering servo (both robbed from my old terra crusher). It'll be a stock build for the moment with metal bearings the only deviation.
  14. I have had this motor for a looooong time. I used to race in a super stock class back in early 2000 and this motor along with the type R where the spec motors. I have raced in this class around ten times. I took a break from the hobby and eventually replaced the power system in my car with a brushless system. I used this motor in my XV-01 pro but I feel it is too nice to have on an offroad car. The motor is in ok condition, it is still working and I have actually carried out a maintenance last year, where I thoroughly cleaned it, oil the comm bushings and polished the comm. I think it would benefit a lot from a new set of brushes, but those are very cheap. I feel too bad using this and since it also has some sentimental value, being the motor that gave me my first podium win, I have decided to sell it to anyone who is interested in having it in a shelf queen, maybe a TL-01, TA-03 or TA-04, TB-01, TB-Evo, FF02 or an F1 since it was recommended for those models. I also still have the original box and I will pack it with this one since I think the box art looks really cool and it can have some collectible value. I do not see these around that often so I am not sure if they are that collectible but I think 30€ plus shipping would be a reasonable price but, I am open to offers.
  15. When I purchased my Lancia Rally years ago, there was evidence that the chassis was original. One of the clues was its gearbox, which had a solid final drive gear and hex-style outdrives and cups. My Lancia has been anything but period-correct since then, so now I offer its complete supplanted gearbox. What you see here is a complete gearbox from an early ORV-chassis Tamiya. This sale features a fully-assembled gearbox; matching hex-style outdrives, driveshafts, and axle stubs; rubber boots; and the plastic pinion gear cover cap (Part C12, not pictured). Also included are two rear suspension arms and complete dampers (not pictured). The gearbox is in used condition and complete, featuring the original solid final drive gear instead of the later differential - a distinguishing feature of a stock Lancia Rally/Subaru Brat gearbox. It is fully assembled but not greased. Part C12 is not pictured but will be included in the sale; two 3 x 27 mm screws will be required to attach a 380 motor, or two 3 x 30 mm screws for a 540 motor. Upon request, a proper 380 motor adaptor can be included in the sale. To my knowledge, this gearbox was built up with plastic bearings. The gears turn smoothly with no binding, and visual inspection reveals minimal wear. The outdrives, driveshafts, and axle stubs are also in used condition, but with intact hexagonal ends showing little wear. The accompanying rubber boots are supple but show a single small hole each at one end, at its widest point. It is unknown to what extent these components were used - I swapped them out for modern CV joints prior to running the model on which the outdrive assemblies were equipped. I am open to offers and trades; however money is a priority given the circumstances under which I am selling these parts. At present, I am looking for approximately $60 CAD, which will include shipping from their location in Canada. I am able to open up this figure to negotiation where a specific shipping cost is requested. Where other currencies are considered, the Canadian dollar will provide a baseline for conversions (and remember that it is weak right now ). I accept PayPal, either marked as 'gift' or with a nominal increase added to compensate for transaction fees. As well as I have attempted to describe these parts, pictures do a better job; thus: One set of axle stub and outdrive is shown here: The other set is in this photo: The condition of one of the driveshaft ends, which inspection confirms applies to both ends of each assembly: I am also including a pair of rear suspension arms. These are in used condition, with a single crack at each damper mount point, but still usable. Plastic bearings will be fitted to these if part of the purchase. Note that I cannot endorse the 'vintage' nature of the arms with absolute certainty. The rear dampers are in used working condition, and are proper vintage parts. Of course, if you wish for more detailed photos and/or have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me! I have ready access to all parts mentioned and wish for you to buy with confidence, so I will be more than happy to answer your queries. Thanks for reading! Edit: Note that I will be absent from May 11th - 28th, so communications will be sparse during that time, and shipments delayed until the 29th.
  16. Hard times are happening around here, so regretfully I am listing the following models for sale: - Tamiya Striker (58061) - Tamiya Lancia Rally (58040) [sorted] - Tamiya Buggy Champ 2009 (58441) - Tamiya Avante Black Special (84270) [sold] All four are in complete, used, working condition. The Striker is near-box-art (except for front cockpit screen and driver torso). It has been fitted with alloy rear wheel hubs, a modified Team CRP front chassis brace, and ball bearings all around (sealed types at the front wheels). The car shows signs of wear and use, with some tattered decals - it was definitely a runner, and will be cleaned before shipping. Many of the spares from my other TamiyaClub sale listing will be included in the sale of this car. Looking for $225 CAD, shipped worldwide. [Lancia Rally sorted] The Buggy Champ is finished in dark-green with box-art decals. It is fitted with the hop-up ball differential, an aluminium chassis, a homemade switch cover, and a set of Tamtech GB-01 aeration dampers all around. Of the four, this car is in the most-used state, and could benefit from a restoration. Looking for $200 CAD, shipped worldwide. [Avante Black Special sold] These cars are being sold with their electronics; upon request they can be removed at a discount. I am listening to offers and will negotiate via PM. These cars are located in Canada. I have PayPal; payment a gift preferred. Thank you for reading. Edit: Note that I will be absent from May 11th - 28th, so communications will be sparse during that time, and shipments delayed until the 29th.
  17. [This was previously a sale thread for a different item which ended up being sorted shortly thereafter] For sale is a Tamiya TA-04 mechanical speed controller. It is brand-new-in-package, and was originally issued with kit no. 58269. I am looking for around $20 CAD or best offer - will post worldwide at cost. Thank you for reading! Edit: Note that I will be absent from May 11th - 28th, so communications will be sparse during that time, and shipments delayed until the 29th.
  18. With no drives left for them, my Willys are now eligible to transfer out to another car owner who can give them seat time. In other words, I have two Willy torso figures for sale. They are both painted and include a steering wheel each. The green-helmeted figure has the hole in his arm for a screw filled in, whereas the blue-helmeted one still has the hole in his arm. I am looking for $45 CAD (includes shipping) for the pair, or $25 CAD (includes shipping) individually. This figure is open to negotiation, especially where a separate shipping quote is requested - meaning I will listen to offers. Both figures are based in Canada. PayPal is on hand and preferred. Pictures are available for assessing condition - both were in lightly-used runner vehicles: As always, I am happy to answer any questions via PM. Thanks for reading! Edit: Note that I will be absent from May 11th - 28th, so communications will be sparse during that time, and shipments delayed until the 29th.
  19. I have seen the future of my Striker, and it does not involve: - stock front suspension arms (parts F2, F3) - a stock front bumper - 2 rear wings (part C13) - 2 sets of plastic parts for the stock rear friction dampers (parts C4, C9, C16, C18) - accessories for the Team CRP shock upgrade (includes optional front springs and rear damper collars) - 2 sets of rear springs (one pair from Team CRP upgrade pack, one pair stock) - rear wing stays/rear shock mounts (parts A3, A4) - a rear bumper (part C6) - a pinion gear cover/inspection cap (part C12) - a pair of stock dogbone half-shafts (part E2) - a mechanical speed control mount (part B5) - a set of upper body mount posts (parts C2, C3, C5) Hence, I am listing them for sale, and listening to offers. They are in clean, used condition, with no structural deficiencies. A number of C-sprue parts are in new, never-used condition, including (but not limited to) the inspection cap (C12), rear bumper (C6), and one front bumper. These parts are based in Canada; as such, package/lot deals are welcome. PayPal is preferred. Pictures of the parts in question follow. Upon request, more detailed pictures can be made available on any and/or all parts, and questions can be answered. Remember that a number of these parts can be fitted to the closely-related Sonic Fighter! Thanks for reading! Edit: Note that I will be absent from May 11th - 28th, so communications will be sparse during that time, and shipments delayed until the 29th.
  20. What you see here is a brand-new set of Lancia Rally wheels, which fit the original ORV-based model (58040). They are still attached to their sprues and have never been opened. These wheels will fit either the classic Michelin TRX-style rally tires that were stock to the Lancia Rally, or the Advan HF-style tires that were recently reintroduced by the Honda City Turbo. I am looking for 160 GBP (approximately $280 CAD at time of writing), which will include shipping, for these wheels, which will ship from Canada. I am open to offers and trades, so feel free to enquire. Upon request, I can pair these with a brand-new set of Advan HF-style tires from the Honda City Turbo's re-release, but note that their outer tire diameter is slightly smaller than the stock Lancia Rally tires'. Pictures ensue: And of course, if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them via PM. Thanks for reading!
  21. Hello Everyone, I have a quick question. In 1985, I had the option of a Fox or a Wild One at the age of 13. I chose the Fox as the guy at the Hobby Shop said it was a better performer. Turns out it was. But, like many of you, I have collected several Tamiya buggies including the Wild One I looked at back in the day. Here is the question, around 2001, before all of the rereleases, I purchased a NIB Wild One kit in absolutely mint condition. I probably paid too much for it, $600 US. They won't fetch that much on eBay anymore, which is ok as I don't want to get rid of the buggy. I would really like to have a vintage Wild One to display along with my Wild One rerelease. So, should I build it or keep it NIB? A perfect scenario would be to keep it NIB and find another vintage one to either restore or build, but there doesn't seem to be many for sale right now. If there are, they seem to be in really bad shape. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks, Brad
  22. 7th - 14th May was the 2016 Model Week at Primrose Valley in Filey Yorkshire. A whole week of RC car racing ................. Both on and off road classes catered for. The off road was on grass and the on road was Tarmac. This year was my second year and cannot wait til next year. I raced only off road with my trf502x, trf201 hybrid and DT03T Aqroshot. check out the link to facebook https://www.facebook.com/primrose.modelweek?pnref=story there was even two heats of Grass Hoppers ........... I will get some of the pictures up
  23. After deliberation and with an upcoming trip to an amateur ice hockey tournament in mid-May, I have decided to list my Tamiya Astute for sale. Unlike previous attempts, I am not wavering on my promise: this car is and will remain for sale until sold. The memories I have are unfortunately not enough to overcome the room and board and equipment fees I will be facing abroad... What you see here is a Tamiya Astute. Several modifications have been implemented, including: - modified suspension front and rear, using simplified Madcap components to reduce weight and complexity compared to the original Astute specification - alloy rear suspension blocks (replacing Astute parts D1) - a complete Tamiya Traction Control geartrain, purchased separately and installed as stock - Super Astute central battery holder (G parts) - ball bearings installed in drivetrain and other areas (where bearings are still used; suspension modifications negate many of the original Astute's areas) In addition, a reproduction shell and wing are included - minor scuffs and scratches appear on the shell and undertray. Blue anodized wheel nuts anchor original lightweight racing wheels and correct kit tires. This car is in good working condition, tested with the electronics pictured (which will be included). These electronics can be removed upon request for a discount. All mechanical parts are in solid structural condition, with no visible cracks or evidence of fractures. I bought this car used and refurbished it prior to running it; since then, it has been run five times, and only twice with the TTC geartrain installed - personal photo records verify this claim, as well as the notion that RC circuit-type jumps were never encountered while in my ownership. I am open to offers and trades; however money is a priority given the circumstances under which I am selling this car. At present, I am looking for approximately 250 GBP (amounting to roughly $445 CAD at writing), which will include worldwide shipping. Where other currencies are considered, the Canadian dollar will provide a baseline for conversions (and remember that it is weak at present ). As this car is based in Canada, this fee will facilitate paying for faster shipping options overseas; otherwise I am willing to negotiate offers if you are willing to accept less expensive (if slower) shipping. I accept PayPal, either marked as 'gift' or with a nominal increase added to compensate for transaction fees. As well as I have attempted to describe the car, pictures do a better job; thus: Of course, if you wish for more detailed photos and/or have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me! I have ready access to this Astute and wish for you to buy with confidence, so I will be more than happy to answer your queries. Thanks for reading!
