  2. Greetings, Please check out my items for sale area, and be sure to revisit each week, as I often list new things when I have the time... https://rctoymemories.com/items-for-sale/ You can also buy from me on eBay if you wish. But everything is cheaper if you get in touch via my website, and simply use Paypal or Direct Deposit (what I save in eBay fees, you save). Pretty much everything I sell is vintage. Currently stuff for sale includes........... .............And lots more. Thanks for looking. H.
  3. Hi all. I have a spare original vintage set of Thunder Dragon decals/stickers. Part number 9495092. They are as new and sealed. Would like £25 PayPal gift which would include postage to UK. Postage might be more if any overseas buyers are interested I can find out.

  6. I have had this motor for a looooong time. I used to race in a super stock class back in early 2000 and this motor along with the type R where the spec motors. I have raced in this class around ten times. I took a break from the hobby and eventually replaced the power system in my car with a brushless system. I used this motor in my XV-01 pro but I feel it is too nice to have on an offroad car. The motor is in ok condition, it is still working and I have actually carried out a maintenance last year, where I thoroughly cleaned it, oil the comm bushings and polished the comm. I think it would benefit a lot from a new set of brushes, but those are very cheap. I feel too bad using this and since it also has some sentimental value, being the motor that gave me my first podium win, I have decided to sell it to anyone who is interested in having it in a shelf queen, maybe a TL-01, TA-03 or TA-04, TB-01, TB-Evo, FF02 or an F1 since it was recommended for those models. I also still have the original box and I will pack it with this one since I think the box art looks really cool and it can have some collectible value. I do not see these around that often so I am not sure if they are that collectible but I think 30€ plus shipping would be a reasonable price but, I am open to offers.
  7. My Vintage lunchbox Restomod for sale on the Bay. Based on original 1988 kit. Purchased the vintage kit in a pretty sorry state. Completely stripped down and rebuilt with Full bearings, New 10t pinion, New 27t HPI brushed motor, New tyres (original wheels), New Absima aluminium body oil damped shocks, modified to work properly with the Lunchbox and upgraded Tamiya red seals. AMPRO Engineering transmission stabiliser (works better than 5th shock modification) so no transmission slap under acceleration. Brand new Mtroniks ESC. Aluminium body mount kit (essential to prevent constantly breaking the plastic versions when you inevitably roll it!) Body is the original that came when I bought it. It's battered and the front window is slightly cracked but it is straight and fits well. It's never been painted so might be ripe for refurbishment? Chassis plastics are all original. Includes original vintage ACOMS AS-7 steering servo. It runs brilliantly and is enormous fun. Wheelies and bouncy skids. Who doesn't like that? Always wanted one as a kid and it's been brilliant to realise that dream. However, I have another vintage buggy and a modern buggy too and it's just not getting the use it deserves. There are other models I wanted back then too which selling this will fund. It doesn't include a receiver or batteries. Make me an offer if you're interested. Spent over £120 on it so would ideally like to see a lot of that back. Cheers! Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263009786857
  8. When I purchased my Lancia Rally years ago, there was evidence that the chassis was original. One of the clues was its gearbox, which had a solid final drive gear and hex-style outdrives and cups. My Lancia has been anything but period-correct since then, so now I offer its complete supplanted gearbox. What you see here is a complete gearbox from an early ORV-chassis Tamiya. This sale features a fully-assembled gearbox; matching hex-style outdrives, driveshafts, and axle stubs; rubber boots; and the plastic pinion gear cover cap (Part C12, not pictured). Also included are two rear suspension arms and complete dampers (not pictured). The gearbox is in used condition and complete, featuring the original solid final drive gear instead of the later differential - a distinguishing feature of a stock Lancia Rally/Subaru Brat gearbox. It is fully assembled but not greased. Part C12 is not pictured but will be included in the sale; two 3 x 27 mm screws will be required to attach a 380 motor, or two 3 x 30 mm screws for a 540 motor. Upon request, a proper 380 motor adaptor can be included in the sale. To my knowledge, this gearbox was built up with plastic bearings. The gears turn smoothly with no binding, and visual inspection reveals minimal wear. The outdrives, driveshafts, and axle stubs are also in used condition, but with intact hexagonal ends showing little wear. The accompanying rubber boots are supple but show a single small hole each at one end, at its widest point. It is unknown to what extent these components were used - I swapped them out for modern CV joints prior to running the model on which the outdrive assemblies were equipped. I am open to offers and trades; however money is a priority given the circumstances under which I am selling these parts. At present, I am looking for approximately $60 CAD, which will include shipping from their location in Canada. I am able to open up this figure to negotiation where a specific shipping cost is requested. Where other currencies are considered, the Canadian dollar will provide a baseline for conversions (and remember that it is weak right now ). I accept PayPal, either marked as 'gift' or with a nominal increase added to compensate for transaction fees. As well as I have attempted to describe these parts, pictures do a better job; thus: One set of axle stub and outdrive is shown here: The other set is in this photo: The condition of one of the driveshaft ends, which inspection confirms applies to both ends of each assembly: I am also including a pair of rear suspension arms. These are in used condition, with a single crack at each damper mount point, but still usable. Plastic bearings will be fitted to these if part of the purchase. Note that I cannot endorse the 'vintage' nature of the arms with absolute certainty. The rear dampers are in used working condition, and are proper vintage parts. Of course, if you wish for more detailed photos and/or have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me! I have ready access to all parts mentioned and wish for you to buy with confidence, so I will be more than happy to answer your queries. Thanks for reading! Edit: Note that I will be absent from May 11th - 28th, so communications will be sparse during that time, and shipments delayed until the 29th.
  9. Hi , has anyone got any old 12t clutch bells for old nitro engines such as Irvine / Veco etc . These were the choice of Mardave for the vintage nitros like Marauder / MK4 & MK5 chassis etc . They take a needle roller bearing , not ball races cheers

  11. In some countries, eBay shows "Product Reviews" for things people are selling. This is part of eBay's (misguided) effort to cast everything on it's site as a "retail" item. And to become a corporate shopping site like Amazon.com. Instead of just being a portal for people to flog their old wares and collectibles (which is how eBay started). Most of you know this already. eBay has been heading down this path for many years. I still try to use the site for vintage goodies. But eBay's "Product Reviews" are an example of where their Amazon.com-wannabe mentality clashes with using the site to sell old stuff. Take this NIB 1979 vintage Sand Scorcher kit, on eBay for example (I am not the seller)... Nice kit. But notice the star rating and the 22 reviews? Those are not about the vintage Sand Scorcher kit. They are not even about the remake Sand Scorcher kit. A handful of them might be, but overall the rating appears to be built from anything on eBay that has the words "Sand Scorcher" in it, where the review box has sprung into action and people have thrown a comment in. From cars, to wheels, to bumpers, to decals, to chassis, to repro... if the seller used the right keywords and details, it might get lumped under "Sand Scorcher" in eBay's dumb database. Here are some reviews which now appear on the page of the vintage NIB Sand Scorcher... If you're the seller of something unique and vintage, the risk is your listing might end up displaying a rating (good or bad) from stuff that is unrelated to what you are selling. Luckily, it seems the seller can turn the Product Review feature off. And since I only just found this, I thought I'd share how to do it... Go to: "My eBay" Click on "Account" tab Click on "Site Preferences" To the right of "Sell Your Item form and listings", click on "Show" To the right of "Show product ratings on your listings" (if available) click "Edit" Click the radio button for "Do not display product ratings on my listings" Click "Submit" If you're selling anything vintage in particular, I would suggest turning this feature off to ensure your vintage goods aren't associated with reviews for modern retail, re-re, remake, repro stuff. H.
  12. I got a new 8.4v 3800 nimh pack from overlander last week. Used twice on my Thunder Dragon but found it made the car too hard to drive with 120a esc and 10.5t brushless. ESC has now died so want to go back to 7.2. Has a deans connector installed by overlander. I have tamiya adaptor for both a charger and/or tamiya esc plug. Maybe good for a big wig rere? Cost me £29 for the pack and £3 for each adaptor. It's this pack but with a deans plug. https://www.overlander.co.uk/premium-sport-3800-8-4v-power-pack.html Make me an offer before it goes on eBay? Now on eBay. A bit of research reveals it will fit any Thundershot chassis buggy, but will also fit any hotshot variant if you get part 50296 Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263000080384 I have deans to tamiya adaptor leads if needed too.
  13. Need to raise funds for other things (including renewing Tamiyaclub membership) so thinning out the collection a bit. Wanted to put them up for offer here before they go on ebay. As the title suggests, I have a vintage Koyosho Ultima and a Vintage Koyosho Outrage for sale. Both cars are pretty much original and complete as far as I can tell. I have never tried to run either car, they were only for display as part of my collection. I have only ever given them a bit of dust-down as they were on the ‘to-do’ list to become display/light runners. Both have the usual signs of age and use, peeling stickers etc, but I would say have been owned by ‘enthusiast’ rather than ‘kids playing with a toy until it breaks’. The Ultima front tyres sidewalls are cracked if you squeeze them, but I would reckon with a clean up and re-glueing they would be perfectly serviceable as a light runner. (I have stored both cars off the wheels to avoid the flat spots for the last 5 years or so.) Two of the spring collars on the Ultima are split, so the spring rate can’t be adjusted as-is and, being on the same side, it will lean to one side if on the wheels. Super easy fix but I have left them as original for now. Both come with the period electrics fitted as shown in the pics, but like so many ‘loft finds’ no transmitters. Bit of a rushed posting / pics I’m afraid, so PM me your email address for more pics / details – just ask. Previously traded with I_am_Scarecrow so I’m sure he’ll vouch for me. Will post at cost and VERY well packed. Based Nr Worthing, West Sussex so if your reasonably local we could arrange pickup or drop off for cost. If you are local enough and want to check them out, let me know. Let me know your offer on either or both. Thanks, Mick.
  14. Hello Everyone, I have a quick question. In 1985, I had the option of a Fox or a Wild One at the age of 13. I chose the Fox as the guy at the Hobby Shop said it was a better performer. Turns out it was. But, like many of you, I have collected several Tamiya buggies including the Wild One I looked at back in the day. Here is the question, around 2001, before all of the rereleases, I purchased a NIB Wild One kit in absolutely mint condition. I probably paid too much for it, $600 US. They won't fetch that much on eBay anymore, which is ok as I don't want to get rid of the buggy. I would really like to have a vintage Wild One to display along with my Wild One rerelease. So, should I build it or keep it NIB? A perfect scenario would be to keep it NIB and find another vintage one to either restore or build, but there doesn't seem to be many for sale right now. If there are, they seem to be in really bad shape. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks, Brad
  15. Having a huge clear out,buy with confidence, feel free to PM me for any info. More Tamiya stuff listed till i have sold what i`m getting rid of. Located in South Leeds,West Yorkshire, local pickup ok. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/anchordriver/m.html?item=182155358527&hash=item2a694e313f%3Ag%3AauQAAOSw3R1XTta5&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Thanks for looking. 16. Hi, got a project car, it is somewhat in poor condition. In box is states KIT NO. 5847 but I don't really find anything useful with that. I believe it is original 1985 model, in club pages there is manual for 58047 which looks to be right, but that extra zero confuses me... Anyone able to provide some info on this matter. Also tips how to get suspension parts would be valuable. Thanks for you help!
  17. Thought it would be cool to start a thread about weird or unusal RC models. I came across a "War Rig" posted by MadInventor posted in the following thread: This is the strangest thing I've seen yet and got me thinking, does anyone own anything more unusual, standard or custom?
  18. I love the three speeds, but the Blazer is special for me - no idea why. A bit like the Scorcher I guess, it's just a classic look. This has been on my to-do list for ages and I bought the project from TC member Kokuzu. Original pics:- On of the things I really liked about this one was that it came with a hand made alloy roof (I believe it's a J-Man work of art):- This makes it a bit special Unfortunately, it was packed terribly (wrapped in one piece of newspaper and then chucked into a box) so suffered not inconsiderable damage in transit from Germany to the UK. Radio box was smashed, front body mount bent beyond repair and a few other things. Annoying, but not a crisis as I have an immaculate condition radio box and picked up a body mount on eBay. If you look at the body pic above you'll also see that someone at some point has cut a slot in the bonnet - no idea why. Anyway, that's first repair. I have a few extra goodies too - like a NIB set of tires (I have 2 of these, so got all 4):- ... amongst other goodies :). More info to follow as I go....

  20. 1987 was a landmark year for Cats. While Schumacher's Cat XLS was winning the IFMAR 4WD OR title, Traxxas was launching the first hobby grade RTR in the form of the Tom Cat, or just simply the Cat. It is a car heavily influenced by Tamiya - a Grasshopper style chassis & trailing transmission, a body shell reminiscent of the Fox and Yellow CVA style dampers, albeit with a unique way of adjusting spring rates. Inspired by an article on URC, I plan to restore and gently modify this car to race at next years Iconic Revival - 30 years after the Cat was released. This is what I purchased on eBay recently vs. what I would like to create...
