  1. PRICES REDUCED: U.S. $375 w/ free USPS priority shipping; or Non-U.S. $350 plus shipping PM me, or go here http://www.ebay.com/itm/332034645077 100% MINT MRC-sealed NIB QD Monster Beetle - extremely rare in this condition This is about the size of a NIB Blackfoot - see pics with other kits for scale. Will discount shipping to keep it reasonable.
  2. I've taken $25 off the price for this, now $275 which I think is a bargain for this, and will consider reasonable offers... would love to get it sold by this weekend so I can get it shipped out by Monday. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331780011859 Here are some pics... and I've added a pic in a reply to show how sizeable this thing is compared to some other kits. It may be 1:14 scale but it's about as massive a box as a vintage Blackfoot. Here's a pic with some of my other sealed NIB kits to illustrate the size. I'm not embellishing when I say $275 is a bargain. FYI - to my amazement, since it's the only other one I've ever seen in sealed NIB condition, there happens to be another of the exact same item on ebay currently. It's priced $150 higher... helping to illustrate how good / fair of a price I'm asking: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1989-TAMIYA-1-14-Midnight-PUMPKIN-QD-Sealed-NIB-/171820060041 Alrighty - done and sold! Agreed to an offer of $250 -- a solid deal for the buyer and I get to handle the logistics over the weekend. Win-win.
  3. My super rare, only one on TC, NIB Futaba FXT kit is up for grabs on ebay! Auction ends Wed Feb 17 ~ 5AM GMT / 12AM EST. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331774611082
  4. I'm considering letting go of a sealed vintage (obviously) NIB QD Midnight Pumpkin RTR that, among my vintage NIB's has less of a nostalgia connection with me personally, although I know others for whom it's high on their list. It's also really hard to find in this condition. I wanted to gauge interest in it and give my fellow TCers a window to work out a deal for it if they're interested before going and selling it on ebay to a stranger... keep it in the family so to speak. If interested, even if you aren't sure exactly of the details, etc let me know ASAP so I can hold off on listing it. A lot of TCers know I'm really flexible with working out deals with people so don't be afraid to ask. I can only wait a couple days at most if I don't hear from anyone as I owe Mokei for a King Cab body set, and he's going to break my legs if I don't pay up! LOL EDIT: Updated with better pics above...
  5. In mint NIB condition at a good price! http://www.ebay.com/itm/NIB-Vintage-Tamiya-6N-1200SC-7-2v-Hardcase-Hump-Ni-Cd-Battery-NEVER-OPENED-5508-/331717551345 http://www.ebay.com/sch/waynethebrain/m.html
  6. I'm feeling impulsive this morning and so I have relisted my Boomerang and Madcap NIB body sets at reduced prices and I'll also offer, for fellow TC members (make sure to tell me in your 'best offer'), to drop the price to $100 for either or $180 for both if you buy both ($100 accepted for first, $80 for second). Shipping included in the U.S. or at-cost 1st-class int'l post, and probably cheaper than quoted by ebay (will adjust down / refund excess). http://www.ebay.com/sch/waynethebrain/m.html Vintage Boomerang NIB Body Set (TCer price = $100, or $90 for 2) Vintage Madcap NIB Body Set (TCer price = $100, or $90 for 2) Vintage QD Manta Ray NIB Body Set (TCer price = $30) Vintage Saint Dragon Decals (TCer price = $25, or $20 with anything else)
  7. Already have a Blackfoot Xtreme 2-motor conversion runner with a BF3 body set, so don't really need to build or hold onto this. Will give you guys a chance to grab it before putting up on ebay. Comes with full ball bearings. ps- Just the included body set alone is going for about $130 shipped on ebay...
  8. For those who've collected new in box vintage Tamiya kits, or vintage kits and models from any other brands... Just interested to hear how you store them these days. Shelving - do you have a dedicated shelf space for them? Stacking - do you store them stacked, with one box on top of the other? How high do you stack? Vertical or Horizontal - do you lie the boxes down, or stand them vertically? Bags - do you keep them in bags of any kind, for protection? Display - do you have the good fortune of being able to have some kits on display? Or are they all packed in your closet/bathroom/minivan/grandma's kitchen? Climate/humidity - are they in a room with consistent temperature? Vaults - are your kits in the house? In the roof? In a shed? In a chook pen? Underground? In the Cloud? Security - Alarms? Rottweilers? Geese? For security, I enjoy the Weyland Yutani UA 571-C Remote Sentry Weapon System, as it has the convenience of self-targeting. Although it does require re-arming more often than I'd like, causing me to have to get off the couch. Also, cracked blisters... Cracked blisters are common in vintage kits, particularly the one for the motor. People have said over the years that this is caused by standing kits vertically, due to the weight of the motor gradually causing the blister to break. But do we have definitive proof of this? Does mere vertical standing of the box cause the cracking? It seems weird in a way, for the blister to crack along specific lines, when the kit is sitting completely still, on a shelf. I could imagine the blister peeling away from the cardboard as a result of this. But not cracking. Perhaps the cracking occurs more due to transportation, where the motor rattles around more inside the blister and deteriorates the blister. Kits that are 30 years old or more, may have been transported many times - in cars, planes, boats. Carried across borders, under fences. Along drains, sewers. People sprinting through fields, ducking and weaving past other collectors. Or dodging the bullets from a Weyland Yutani UA 571-C RSWS*. Or perhaps cracked blisters have simply been exposed to more light, as this is definitely something that will deteriorate the thin plastic. Thoughts? H. * Not possible.
  9. Hey all here's another NIB vintage kit I'm parting with that has the tiniest imperfection but for that reason I am selling it at another bargain price. The ONLY thing wrong with this kit is that in ONE place on one of the chassis sprues the chassis has disconnected from the sprue. SEE PICS! http://www.ebay.com/itm/331683479642 (** UPDATED LINK **) Note: there is a small dent in this corner (only) Here is the imperfection:
  10. Hi, I'm after a Tamiya 306 Maxi FF02 Kit (NIB) or a someone's shelf queen. Equally, I will be open to body sheets and cars in reasonable condition. I'm also looking for a NIB Xsara and Focus WRC kit but am still open to good condition built cars and body sets. Thanks for reading, Sam
  11. Hey guys some of you may have seen the NIB Vintage Fox I have listed on eBay. I've decided to update the listing with my rock bottom price of $375 shipped in U.S. or at-cost int'l. Have a look at the pics below. Is in great NIB shape except original owner assembled wheels / tires. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331681180763 (** UPDATED LINK **)
  12. Ok, so this arrived today: The question is, how do I know that what's sealed inside that box is what was sold to me? Do I open it up? Get it X-rayed somehow? I've no reason to distrust the seller, but who's to say that prior to his possession, someone didn't fill a box with old parts, shrink wrap it then sell it as new? It feels about the right weight, and the shrink wrap has scuffs which would indicate the right age. If I shake it gently I can hear the sound of the lexan so I'm fairly sure, but there's a nagging doubt that it could be any old hodge-podge of bits in there! I guess going by Mr Schrödinger’s paradox, until it's cracked open there both is and isn't a brand new unbuilt King Cab in there!
