  1. I am after a basher shell to fit a WT-01. In some sort of reasonable condition (it will likely get trashed so its not needing to be to good) I do want a Lexon rather than a ABS shell. UK based and anything considered. If you see something on Ebay that may suit please post me the link. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hello, I’m refurbing and upgrading my old 90s Blitzer Beetle and have barely touched the hobby since back then so am a real novice. I’m looking at putting a lexan body on it (gone for kamtec baja) and I like the slightly more lowered look like the one in these pics: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=121529&id=13023. I know I can cut the rear mounting holes higher up the body, trim out space for the motor and trim back the wheel arches, but how can I lower the front mount? Is there an alternative Tamiya front mounting set which would fit the Blitzer Beetle which would allow much lower mounting? Or even, like my old mates used to do back in the day with their Schumacher/Losi buggies, is velcro somehow workable? And if so, isn't there a risk the glue it could melt/damage the paint or just tear it straight off? Many thanks for any help.
  3. For sale is my Ford Escort RS Cosworth Repsol body-shell. Due to it's age, it's not in the best of conditions sadly. For starters... most of the red paint at the rear of the shell has cracked off. Having bought a new can of the same colour, I discovered that the paint wasn't sticking to shell very well. Also, some of the orange paint is cracking off, which I "fixed" with some brighter orange... yeah, you can see it clearly. I covered the rear of the shell in red electrical tape to hide the missing paint... doesn't look TOO terrible like that, lol. There is also some damage to the front right corner, which has been fixed with super glue. It was a valiant effort, doesn't look too bad. Some of the stickers, notably the stickers that make up the window surrounds, are peeling. The side lights, fog/indicator stickers and the lower grille are actually printouts of the original sticker sheet, covered with sellotape to make them glossy and attached with double-sided tape, and the lights are silver and red Sharpie.. but should come off easily with the correct cleaner. There have been two additional holes drilled to allow it to fit on my TT-01 chassis, as well as the original TA-01 chassis. That being said, it's not in bad condition. If you have the time and patience... and some major skills... there is no reason you couldn't bring this shell back to life, removing the paint with some solvent (such as non-acetone nail polish remover) and respray, or even respray the outside. While I do not really want to sell, it's only going to get worse over time and I don't have the skills or money to refurbish it, so I'd like it to go to someone who can. At the moment, I'm open to offers. I know it's in pretty bad condition (just as it was when I bought it 5 years ago off eBay) but it's still a rare shell.. but not AS rare as those in better condition. Thanks for looking, and for any interest you show!
  4. Hi! I have a feeling I may be looking for something that doesn't exist anymore, but I figured it can't hurt to ask. Need a body for a M1025 "Hummer". If you have one that's serviceable please let me know.
  5. Hi TC, So I'm at the end of my original Fox resto. Had more damage than I thought and the harder I looked the more cracks etc I found. Big quesion! What colour do I paint the shell? If it was closer to original I'd go with the standard colour. Given its now a half cast and brushless I think it needs a stand-out colour, any suggestions???? Cheers. Will post photos when she's ready to jet!
  6. Hi All, 1. Does anyone know if these were ever made? 2. If they were ... does anyone have one for sale or know where I could get one from. I drive a real mk5 Cortina Estate and would love to have an RC version of it. If you can help me find out if they exist (if they do) and help me get hold of one, I would be extremely grateful. I know there are a vast selection of shells available and I'm hoping that this is one of them. Many Thanks, Aaron.
  7. As title says, preferably used in good condition as im a useless painter and to keep the cost down. Im in the uk by the way.
