  1. No, this isn't a thread about a particularly strong vindaloo..... I've decided spend a bit less time on this hobby, and so am downsizing the amount of stuff I have. I'm starting off with spare parts, but later on I'm going to have some vehicles for sale as well (Maybe a Konghead, a Chrome Edition Midnight Pumpkin and a Jagdpanther). However, i can only photograph and advertise a certain amount in one go, so here we go: Quick list of Contents as the thread is getting long and is pic heavy 1.Boomerang D parts 2. yellow Kyosho rims 3. Boomerang blue bits 4. vanquish wheels (original - used) 7. re-re sand rover left over body parts 8. TT-01 gears. Some used and only lightly used, some new (Originally bought for an 8x8 project) 9. DF-02 axles (used) 10. King tiger turret rotation unit 11. TT-01 / DF-02 one way unit used spares (Outdrives, bearings, and ring gear) 12. Hotshot II underguard Partially complete Boomerang D parts. Vintage kyosho wheels, but no idea what they're off. Bigger than hotshot series wheels so maybe 2.2" ? Boomerang / Bigwig blue spares (Some new, some used, will split if required.) Super Sabre unique spares (New) (Now sold) Avante 2011 Hop up wheels (Vanquish clones, but nice and white) (Now sold) vanquish wheels, pretty certain they are genuine vintage due to the slight discoloration, 2 matched pairs of front wheels, and 1 pair of rear wheels with some really old, hard oval blocks. The rear wheels appear to be both lefts (or rights), not a matched pair. Will split up if required. And lastly, (Till I get into the next box of parts), a home made by me (Still machined aluminium though) adapter plate for fitting a Hotshot gearbox to a hornet / grasshopper chassis. Alloy blocks fit in where the hornet gearbox mounts fit, and the fibreglass plate screws to the mount for the hotshot battery plate. The gearbox still requires attachment to the top of the chassis but it can be fairly easily. I've not put prices on any of it, let me know what they're worth to you, payment via paypal please. Once I get payment I will post items via Royal Mail signed for, as a minimum.
  2. I'm trying to restore my tamiya super sabre and one of the front gearbox long shaft is broken. I can't seem to find this part anywhere. Does anyone know where I can track this down or what the official part number is? it is the same length as a TL 01 shaft but the cup on the Super Sabre is bigger in diameter ? Thanks
  3. Looking for a used Super Sabre in decent shape. Thanks!
  4. I found these at the local hobby store in a box of misc. parts. They are clearly original from "back in the day". Any Japanese speakers want to translate? Any information or previous experience with these parts would be appreciated. They look to be stainless and fit the vintage Tamiya Hot Shot series gear box dog bone cups, not the ReRe smaller cups. Would anyone be interested in purchasing them? -Ben
  5. Though this maybe of interest to some. Especially if you r looking for a Super Sabre at sensible money. https://www.gumtree.com/p/hobbies-collectibles/tamiya-supersabre-r-c-car-1-10-scale/1328755100 look at his other items. I just bought his LunchBox. I dont personally know him but spent a decent time on phone with him. He posts Parcel Force 24Hr and is happy with goods and services. He also sent me a few pics of his whole collection.
  6. Ok so I had bought a Super Sabre to restore and then promptly decided to sell it on as at the time I had enough to be doing with my Thundershot series. I also had my old original Boomerang to restore which was on the long finger as I wanted to complete the Thunder series cars first. I then turned up an un-used TBG Super Sabre body and some decent oval blocks on decent original rims (had to you know how it is?) Then I turned up a already restore SS with the main body of a Boomerang (new unpainted) with a Terra Scorcher which I also needed and a truck load of parts.......rude not to!!! So I put the new wheels on and body on the SS and APART from the yellow front shock its done and took me all of ........30 minutes and quite a few ££ but hey ho, no more than any of the Thunder Series cars to date. So some photos of the finished SS complete with ESC, full ballraces, new near everything and a old school hot brushed motor.
  7. This years DT Challenge (2017) saw the first Hotshot gearbox class race - GT tuned motors, 2 inch tyres only, ballraces and alloy shocks, UJ's in front.
  8. Hi, I'm selling part of the collection as I have to move on to a new house. I live in Europe , Belgium. So if anyone is interested I'm open for offers but pls be reasonable. I'm listing : - Tamiya BIG WIG vintage model with the technigold motor. custom decals. - Tamiya Super Sabre vintage model, repro body and decals - Tamiya Super Hotshot re-release model and with a Torque tuned motor. All cars are equipped with a steering servo but no msc or esc. The cars are in immaculate condition for their age. Kind regards Steven
  9. Yesterday (16/04/17) was the first round of the Kidderminster Summer series. A few of us ran our Tamiya's. We had two re re Bigwigs, my re re Boomerang and a re re Hotshot. A gentleman's agreement saw us all use the Tamiya GT Tuned motor. Racing was fair and even. We found that the 2 inch Schumacher Yellow blocks on the kit wheels worked the best, running around with a Tamiya GT Tuned motor the race pace was not that fast but fun and relaxed. It made for a fun days racing, what we need now is more people to turn up with these cars and race with us. The second Round is on the 21st May.
  10. Almost everything you need to convert a Boomerang into a much rarer and never re-released Super Sabre. Check out the pics! http://www.ebay.com/itm/331678927644 SOLD!
