  1. @Jason1145 @Fuijo @svenb @GooneyBird Renamed and repurpursed this thread to cover all variations of the TB Chassis. TB01-05. And all the Evolutions. Tagged you 4 as I know you all have a soft spot for the TB01. The TB01 is the electric version of the TG10 Nitro car. The TB01 was released as a Rally Chassis and Touring Car Chassis and many years later the main chassis was released as a RTR truggy. I have a massive soft spot for the TB01. I'm currently building the Ultimate TB01 Touring car chassis if you haven't seen it, it is in the build section. The TB01 is made of the ultra rare tamiya plastic reinforced with steel 😂🤣. For those who have dealt with the TB01 know what I'm talking about.... For those who don't... The TB01 is a rather tough chassis. Like bomb proof tough. It can take one heck of a battering which IMO makes it a perfect rally chassis.... The down side is. Its heavy and doesn't make the best touring car chassis.. Well maybe for pushing other cars off the track. Lol. The rally car I've had since 2001. The Levant since December 2017. Both the Ferrari's are new to my house after working out a deal with Fuijo to help me build my Ultimate TB01. I didn't think it possible but I made the Enzo look even cooler IMO. Hop Up Wing 53470 as recommended in the manual. Leaving left out the TB01 rally car needed to sneak in. And then the Levant (TB01 based with Tamiya parts to make up the suspension) decided to get in on the action.
  2. I came across this on eBay. I had never heard of the F201 chassis before and did some quick googling. From what I have read, it wasn't popular because racing rules only allow 2WD F1 cars. It had a very short production cycle, and not many people liked it due to the limited gearing options and lack of electronics space. Looking at the chassis, it's pretty close to scale to a normal F1 with the inboard cantilever shocks. I chose to give this underdog car a chance and went all impulse on it. It needs wheels/tires and body mounts from what I can see so far. The motor is loose and it has an ESC in it, along with a Futaba receiver that I won't be using as I married into Spektrum. It came with the instruction manual, and I plan to fully disassemble it and rebuild it. I don't care much for the paint work, and will be finding another body to fit. Will any Tamiya F1 body fit this chassis? Compare that front suspension to a 1:1 suspension. Anybody recognize that motor? What about the ESC? I'll update this thread as I rebuild it and bring it back to life.

  5. Well I have decided to go a different route in my R/C fun and onto Buggies. So its time to let my limited edition F104 Pro VII Dark Titanium Edition go, and put it up for sale. The car it used and has a fair few scuff marks underneath but no actual damage. Up top everything is standard from the factory, so lots of carbon and lots of Dark Titanium coloured aluminium parts. Comes with original box and manual. Along with a whole host of spares. Set of Tamiya foam tires on silver wheels, very rough looking but loads of life left in them. Set of Tamiya foam tires on silver wheels, good overall condition with red Pirrelli sidewall decals applied. Set of kit standard Tamiya rubber tyres on silver mesh wheels, good condition loads of life left with white Pirrelli decals applied. Set of Tamiya Optional Soft rear tyres and Standard Front tires on silver mesh wheels, brand new and fitted to the chassis along with yellow Pirrelli sidewall decals. Extra Aluminium Damper. F1 front spring set Various Spur gears Pinion gear Steering servo fitted NIP F104 front arms NIP F104 rear wing set It also comes with a Tamiya Ferrari F2012 bodyset fitted. It has been built and painted by myself to a good standard, not perfect by any means, but certainly looks the part on display or when being run. Bodyset and wings are in very good condition. Pictures can be seen in my showroom of the chassis and the Bodyset. Postage to the UK only, and due to postage costs I am looking for £110 ono for the whole lot posted by 1st class recorded mail. Thanks James
