Hi everyone, I recently bought the Audi Quattro TT-02 and naturally wanted more ground clearance. So I modified the chassis as suggested by Mark Bryan on YT. Right now clearance is a bit over 20 mm which is enough for the moment since I do not want to touch drive shafts and cups. However, bottoming out the super mini CVA shocks now leaves a 5 mm air gap below the chassis. I'm fairly new to RC cars but understood that the chassis should bottom out before the shocks. Presumeably to not overstrain the shock mounts? Anyway, I do not intend to hit large jumps with this car but will this be a problem in the long run? What are my options? Either increase leverage ratio via the lower suspension arm which I do not think is possible or find a shock with the same length (~59 mm) and longer stroke? Thanks Karsten

Hi All, After a bit more experience I really want to monsterise the neo scorcher and improve ground clearance. Hence I now have some monster tyres > Using the stock build, with an adjustable racing mount, I can use a 15t pinion on the stock Tamiya spur (70t) but I feel it might still out too much strain on the Tamiya torque 540 stock motor. I feel there are some other options I can use: 1. Get the high speed gear set where I believe I could use the 48dp gears and I understand from this post that the 78t spur could fit? Can anyone confirm? And what Pinion should I use? 2. Get a brushless motor. Can anyone confirm if this will help better cope with the higher torque? If so can anyone recommend a cheap one to start with? Anything else? Thanks in Advance!

Thinking of building a rally car on either DF03ra or XV01 chassis. However where I like to run in a forest the ground is covered in twigs, sticks and pine cone so here's my question.... Which of these 2 chassis has the better ground clearance so I can ride more of these hazards and not get caught up on them. Currently run a Racing Lancer on a DF01 chassis and the ride height is just fine on that. Thanks. )
