  1. Waiting for a tamiya 1/14 truck to arrive and wondering what the thoughts are on the flysky radios? I like the idea of the fsi6x because of it can be opened up to 10 channels which might be useful over time if more lights and things get added? Has anyone ever encountered a 1/14 scale truck and trailer needing more than 6 channels? I will be adding a trailer and lights and sound but over time will be adding more lights and whatever takes my fancy, so would like to build in a little future proofing if you think the extra channels could/might be utilised? cheers
  2. This is kind of a long shot, but I just received an old Futaba FP-T2NBR transmitter from ebay, but the return springs and lever arms have been removed from both gimbals - the parts that cause them to return to center. It was used in a boat model and apparently the owner wanted to be able to set the throttle and forget it. Otherwise, the unit is in fantastic condition and I'd like to see it restored. Has anyone got an old, non-working 2NBR that they could sacrifice the gimbals from? Thanks!
  3. I'm trying to decide on a radio for my Arduino project and can't choose between the Turnigy 9X and the RadioLink AT10ii. I know the AT10 will do everything I want but it's nearly 3x the price of the 9X, which might be OK provided it has enough switches. I'd really love the AT10 but I'm on a tight budget and it will push the rest of the build back by a few months. Unfortunately in the current era of maximum test, minimum information, nowhere can I find a detailed list of the number and type of switches mounted on the case. If anyone has a 9X, can they please tell me what switches is has and if they are 2-way, 3-way, latching or momentary? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi, first time here on the forum so go easy on me I own a lovely "Tamiya Scania R620" truck with the "MFC-03" and a "Futaba T8J" radio. Currently everything is built and connected but im struggling to find/get all functions to work. Things like "forward, backwards, selecting gear 1-2-3, start, horn, flashing lights, indicators" works fine. But when trying to get all other things to work its a hit or miss. Been reading all the manual for everything 3 times but biggest problem seems to find a function and then add/map it to a radio button. I found this video that seems like the perfect match, but havent been able to contact the owner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKwpj18tTcE Please, anyone out there with any advice how to map the radio buttons? Thanks and best regards. \Chris.
  5. Hi all I have recently upgraded my Brat to 2.4ghz, and bought this pretty basic 2.4GHz radio from Tamco, found here: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/tamco-rc-2.4ghz-2-channel-fhss-sport-stick-combo/rc-car-products/367560 It's been working fine up until today, where for some reason, every time I pushed the the stick fully forward (as in full speed) the motor would just cut out, and not respond for a few seconds. You could drive happily with the stick below full push, but every time you pushed the stick fully forwards the motor cuts out. I swapped out the Tamco receiver for my original Acoms 27mhz receiver and everything worked fine and as normal. I therefore assume the problem is with the radio. Could anyone suggest a reason for this happening? And how may I fix it without returning or re-buying the radio set? Thanks in advance, Mack
