Dear Tamiyans and Rc-pilots, in my shelf is sitting a 1982 AYK 566b Supertrail Baja Bison, ready to run, and only used for testing purposes few summer ago. This RC was some plps childhood dream rc and I feel like im not the suited collector that this 40 year old model deserves. This is why i want to sell, or trade it for something. Cause i still love that RC stuff. I want to leave behind the treasure keeping and get back to active racing, bashing, adventuring. Does anybody remember playing Ace trumps/ Top trumps / Quartet trumps games in his childhood? I loved them and had created my own card set with drawings I made of the dream cars; kyosho optimas, tamiya hotshot, ayk viper, etc. Now that I modeled most of them, I decided to recreate a new set with my own pack of illustrations I made for my Artbook. I used to race Tamiyas when I was a kid back in the 80s. (Audi Quattro and Hotshot.) My father in law passed away recently and we found a MINT CONDITION AYK Viper, still unbuilt and in its original box. I'm guessing it had been there 25-35 years! There's a Schmalband FM controller too, also still in its box unused. Given I used to race RC cars, I was tempted to build it and have a play, but decided it really needs to go to someone who will truly appreciate it. Hello, i'm Johan from Belgium, last week i bought an old rc car and i never seen or heard anything from this car. The brand on the box is Tsukuda but this brand is only known for static model kits and puppets... I happen to have also an old AYK from 1979 i think, and this car has the same wheels and rear axle, in the Tsukuda box are two optional gears and thy are marked AYK. The chassis is also black anodized. Maybe someone know something about this car? Thank you.
