  1. I want to build a blackfoot on the hot tricks chassis. If anyone have one please let me know. Thanks
  2. I enjoy running my cars even tho people call me crazy for running "shelf queens," but I just love vintage RC cars and trucks. That's why I dont bash. I usually just do some light runs here and there, then put it on the shelf. I just started collecting in April 2022, so yeah, I am late, but I was able to run in all seasons and conditions from summer heat to winter snow, and I found myself loving the fall season. I recently ran my blackfoot III the other day, and I just loved the crisp Kool Air and running wild in the leaves. I had a lot of fun. Plus, your motor doesn’t get as hot like the summer runs, lol. Wich season and weather conditions do you prefer to run? Lets see some pics!
  3. I am looking for any aluminum parts. Bumbers, shocks, mounts, wheels ect
  4. At first I didn't like the blackfoot coming into this hobby last year as I was a Tamiya King Cab Nissan lover but it grew on me and I said to myself I have to at least have 1 in my collection so after researching I noticed tamiya made quite a few versions of them. I have always been the person to root for the underdog so I went with the least popular one the blackfoot III. This is my take on it so far. The driver is back from the dead and want some get back on the ones responsible for shooting and killing him off. I gave him a superstock motor with a 3s lipo to help catch them and run them off the streets. I just hope they don't have a brushless system in theirs lol Anyway I had fun building this one and wanted to share. What is your favorite blackfoot? Lets see those builds!
  5. Hi guys - for a while and over a few different threads I've been working on various aspects of a Blackfoot 3 runner for my 5yo son Oliver. It's got the dual motor conversion and have gone with the classic look for it and I think it's come out great. Especially when it's running around outside it really looks quite a bit like the original Blackfoot. To add to the vintage charm I wanted to figure out how to mount vintage wheels onto it. There were some challenges that I detail in this showroom entry I just posted for it: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=128320 Go check it out, and I'll post up the pics below as well. If it weren't for the stability benefits as a runner for a 5yo of the extra wide stance I'd definitely use the Amarok suspension conversion which I think would really make the result look great. However, as it is I think it still looks good and it dang near impossible to roll.
  6. Hey guys - I have a Blackfoot 3 set up with dual motors and the performance is a little lackluster so I've been considering trying out a pair of Titan 550s along with either the EVX or EVX-2 ESC (or maybe some other ESC?). I don't want to spend a fortune, so a dual brushless setup is prob not ideal... and it has to run on NiMH. There's plenty of clearance between the top of the chassis and the body to strap on a 2nd battery, so dual batteries shouldn't be an issue. What do you all think?? Would the gearboxes do OK? Anyone tried this setup? 7. Already have a Blackfoot Xtreme 2-motor conversion runner with a BF3 body set, so don't really need to build or hold onto this. Will give you guys a chance to grab it before putting up on ebay. Comes with full ball bearings. ps- Just the included body set alone is going for about $130 shipped on ebay...
