I've just purchased my first brushed motor in over 30 years and want to make sure I wire it correctly. It's an LRP V10 Spec6 - 12 x 2. I assume the top half is positive {blue wire}, but does it matter which tab I solder to, and why are there 4 tabs in total? Does it just go backwards if I wire it the wrong way around? Thanks.

I have an M02, and unbeknowest to me, since the M02 is simply an M01 that runs backwards more or less, this means that pretty much anything past a silver can will have its timing reversed compared to the forward direction of the car, since the motor essentially runs backwards. I'd like to know what adjustable timing motors would be suitable for an M02. I currently have a sport-tuned in there that makes it run better backwards than forwards lol. I'd like a motor that is: 1. Pretty nice looking if possible 2. Not overly bonkers powerwise (it's just an M02 after all!) 3. Available online these days (no rocking horse poo or hen's teeth please ) 4. Not ridiculously priced 5. Brushed and most importantly: 6. Can have its timing turned backwards without having to mod it, or break off tabs or whatever Any suggestions?

Hello Tamiya fans! I am upgrading my tamiya TL01 chassis and I have some questions...I want to replace old brushed silver can 540 motor and mechanical speed controller with combo motor...so I chose to replace the brushed motor with this one https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking-x-car-brushless-power-system-4000kv-60a.html ...but there is a problem in specification I cant find the dimensions of the position of threaded holes on brushless motor (see picture below)...I also contact the hobbyking store and they are not sure if this motor will proper fits into the mounting holes on chassis...maybe has anyone some experience with installing this motor? I am also woundering about ESC "Running mode"...in specification is written "Forward only or forward with reverse (user programmable mode)" in case of setting "Forward only" what is the purpose of the button reverse on transmitter? ...is use only for dynamic brake? ...is this setting useful for prevent the pinion gears damage? ...I also need some advice about the proper 2S lipo charger...which is enough "smart" to stop charging when the battery is full? ...thanks.
