  1. Would like a NIB kit of the CR-01 Jeep Wrangler with LED light kit, I'm based in the UK so a UK seller would be ideal because of shipping costs
  2. I've wanted a CR-01 ever as long as I could remember. I really liked the idea of a proper Tamiya crawler but could never get past the price and the looks of the ill-fitting bodies. Over the past Christmas season, I found a NIB CR-01 Rock Socker for a very good deal on eBay so I pulled the trigger. I liked how the Stadium Blitzer body it came with fit the chassis better. Unfortunately, it was winter in Michigan (for those of you don't know, basically blizzard season) so I couldn't paint the body. To get it running for some winter crawling with my friends, I just cut up and slapped on my old FJ Cruiser body on it. I also threw in a Wild Willy driver from my Comical Hornet for good measure. It sat for a while like you see in the photo: I have to say I do rather like how the FJ body looked, so it might've stayed like it was for a while... until I found something....
  3. My incomplete fleet of CR01s. Acquired the first in a Landcruiser body when it was first released. Fast forward to end of last year, for some unknown reason, started to acquire a fleet of these. Alloy chassis side plates are impossible to find. Had CF bits made. A bit narcissistic sorry. Found some 6x6 CR-01s on Youtube and decided to try. This is a prototype. FRP circuit board extensions will be replaced.

  6. can anyone tell if the light buckets from either the cr-01 or cc-01 Land Cruiser 40 series body shell will fit the gf-01 shortened Land Cruiser 40 series body shell?
  7. Hi, and hello from not so sunny- rather wintery Surrey UK. I've been a long term tamiya fan, started as a kid with a Subaru brat and delved into drifting for a little while with a highly modified DF-03ra chassis. My Son wants a CR-01 for Christmas so I'll help him with the build but I couldn't help myself and I've bought one too - a second hand one that needs a little love but I'm sure I can get it up and running. Planning on on doing a complete aluminium overhaul and eventually a custom shell so keep an eye out in the builds section Pic of my second hand one
  8. So?, ..................I understand that it's not an out and out rock crawler but how does it compare as a basher? Is it stable at speed? How would it compare to an Axial wraith? I think I like the over-complicated suspension set-up. Can it be set up to have 4 wheel steering? Are the diffs lockable? I am looking for a new truck but not sure what to get yet, I maybe selling my blitzer beetle plus a few parts to fund a new car but I have far too many choices and not enough money. lol
