  1. Hi, i am looking for a Tamiya Hotshot 2 rear suspension shock tower/mount, part D6 in kit 58062-HotShot2. I think it's the same of part A3 in kit 58066-SuperSabre. New, used, 3d printed or even 3d model for printing by myself. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi there. First post on this forum. Just wanted to show what I have been doing with my recently acquired HotShotII that was in a fairly broken state. The usual cracks around the screw holes and a couple of unexpected ones. I have been working some time now to recreate several Tamiya parts as a 3D design. While I almost never do an exact replica, the parts are drop-in functional replacements. On this car you can for instance see some printed wishbones, and the lower one at the front is an integrated print instead a composition of the original HotShot wishbone with that HotShot2 extension. For anyone who is interested I will be posting my designs on Thingiverse. I only do this after I validated them for fit and function ( not for longevity, that will have to wait ). https://www.thingiverse.com/Qbee/designs
  3. Yesterday (16/04/17) was the first round of the Kidderminster Summer series. A few of us ran our Tamiya's. We had two re re Bigwigs, my re re Boomerang and a re re Hotshot. A gentleman's agreement saw us all use the Tamiya GT Tuned motor. Racing was fair and even. We found that the 2 inch Schumacher Yellow blocks on the kit wheels worked the best, running around with a Tamiya GT Tuned motor the race pace was not that fast but fun and relaxed. It made for a fun days racing, what we need now is more people to turn up with these cars and race with us. The second Round is on the 21st May.
