  1. This topic is about the target to transform my Hummer as a Crawler. As I've said in my presentation, i've tried to make Crawler Session with my Stock KongHead, but with open diff, stock tires, torque tuned and Tble02s that not good enough. Take too much money to transform my Konghead into a Crawler, and i've just bought a Hummer without any destiny ( no project for him, just love this model i was young ) By now, I decided to restore and transform my Hummer. I've got some clue by other member to what i need to make.
  2. Hi guys Im Rocket, big brother to Crispy who I understand is a regular villain on here. We are currently building up to our own Tamiya recon force. My Humvees been around for a few years now, Crispy has another humvee and a Lightstrike in build and I managed to pick up a battered original XR311 back end of last year. The Humvee The XR311 Out of the box And under heavy Plasticard attack. Now the final version wont look anythinh like the original tamiya XR311. Ive been digging around in the picture archives and looked at so many test pictures of the beastie I see it in my sleep. Im heading for what i think it would have looked like if it had been accepted into service by the US special forces Thats it for now. More when I get some time.
  3. My brother and I used to fantasise about owning a Tamiya car when we were little, but the pocket money never stretched. This year I got a fantastic birthday present: a well looked after second hand Humvee; the model I had always wanted. At thirty one with an income and the internet to learn lots of new tricks and skills I have spent a lot of time (and money) making many modifications. I am extremely pleased with the result (see photos). Inspiration from Crispy and the Rocketman: http://www.crispyandtherocketman.com/id33.html and Dirt-540: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=123302&id=23103. Headlight rig from Tugay Alpat (www.rclight.8m.net). Will try to get some field and night pictures soon; she is built to be driven.
