  1. http://shpws.me/RSRT Forgot i did these. These rear uprights replace the kit parts on the following kits, original or rerelease: Tamiya Stadium Blitzer Tamiya Stadium Thunder Tamiya Blitzer Beetle They introduce 3 degrees of toe in for stabilisation of the rear end on turn in and greater traction on exit. They are not compatible with the fixed plastic upper arms, they require camber links with ball connectors. The inboard camber link hole is same as the kit. The other hole lengthens the link and lowers the roll centre for more traction at the expense of more body roll. There is a 4.5mm spacer inside each bore should be cut out on the sprues and cleaned up. This can be placed in front or behind the upright when mounting to the suspension arm to adjust the wheelbase. I suggest placing it in front to start with. This maintains the wheelbase around the kit setting. If you want a shorter wheelbase, put the spacer behind the uprights. Make sure the spacer is in the same position on both sides of the buggy. Uses 2 x 1150 (5x11x4) bearings in each upright. You will need to clean out the bearing bores with an exacto knife just to make the shoulder edge in the housing sharp. They are tight fitting, but that is on purpose to make sure they stay put. The camber link ball nut should be installed using a M3 x 12 cap head screw. The ball nuts you need are any of the following type (you need one nut per upright) Tamiya 9804206 steel ball nuts Tamiya 53640 aluminium ball nuts Tamiya 9808012 steel ball nuts Or any other Tamiya 5mm ball nut. Clean out the 3mm holes with a 3mm drill or 3.05mm reamer.
  2. I've got a DT03 black edition with the torque tuned motor and the Stadium Thunder with the sport tuned motor. To me, it sounds like the truck would be better with the torque motor and the buggy with the sport motor. I'm considering making the switch but what do you guys think? It should be a direct swap right? The DT03 is a 19T pinion and the Stadium Thunder is a 13T pinion.
  3. Hi I have an original stadium thunder and this came with a 13t pinion gear and a rs540 black sport tuned motor. I want to upgrade the motor however in the instructions do not give an option for any other size pinion to be used. Can I put in a 27t dirt tuned motor?. Also the standard rule I thought was to use a pinion gear two teeth below the motor so for 27th this would be paired with a 25t gear. With this rule in mind why would tamiya use such a low gear for that motor?. Also if I put a brushless 15t motor in could it handle it and again what pinion would you use? Thanks
  4. hello. tis i, beefy. i have a question. i've been contemplating what to do with the bargain TA01 chassis i recently acquired. i've had a stadium thunder body and decals just collecting dust which i can't seem to even give away, so i was thinking of using it on the TA01 as a way to kill two birds. not literally. birds have nothing to fear. unless they are a tender and juicy chicken. so the question is - does anybody know, or have both and can compare, or know where the info is on whether or not the stadium thunder body will be a suitable stand-in for the F150 baja body? it looks to be a similar wheelbase and other than the fact that the stadium thunder seems, and i cannot lie, to have a big butt. i can't deny i don't like it... but maybe it'll grow on me. i search around and can't seem to find all the needed info. sometimes dimensions and wheelbase are easy to find, sometimes not.
