  1. Hello, first post here, so be kindšŸ˜ƒ I have my original Wild Willy m38, that I built in 1986. It still runs pretty much original. But the issue is that the nylon idler gear (between the motor pinion and the ā€œslipper clutch?ā€) is nearly worn out. Iā€™ve been looking for a new one, its a 20 tooth Nylon gear. I have seen ā€œwaterbokā€ referred the lunch box gear. But is this the Tamiya 9115010 diff gear bag? This is hard to come by in Norway (tax, freight etc.). I have ordered the Tamiya 50738 - TL-01 G Parts (Gear) MF-01X, because it has a 20 tooth idler gear in it. But not sure about the pitch and size. Advise would be appreciated Thanks! (I will of course order it from EBay if need be, need to keep Willy alive)
  2. Hi all, a long-awaited dream has come true. Finally I have the opportunity to restore a Wild Willy M38, which I found on the bay. The base is in relative good condition, but it definitely needs a good cleaning. Hence I would also like to disassemble the gear box. Can someone please give me a good advice on how to take the spring splints out of the hex wheel hub. I have no clue how to and in order to avoid damage Iā€™d need some instruction. Thanks a lot !
