Yes, they’re a direct fit….54608 👍

Exactly. They are cheaper, and in my opinion better. You have a hint more thread on the outside so you can make the stance a tiny bit wider with the lock nuts still engaging, they have a tad less axial play, and they are cvds, not universals.. Which is a matter of taste I guess, but in my opinion they are more refined. Also they are black which in my eyes is a bit more scale looking as it goes into the background seen from the outside. My recommendation. I don't like the 53310 soo much...

I couldn resist.... got another Porsche...

Somehow the aesthetics of the 992 grew on me big time in the last weeks / months.
So I got 2 lexan shells, ordered new chassis plates (6mm shorter) and built a RWD TA03 chassis.

To maintain weight balance, it has the battery forward position (look at my LIPO holder solution, quite proud of that ;-)) as well as some heavy C-hubs, steering arms, brass ball mounts and aluminium knuckles. diff etc. is missing, as well as the belt. We´ll see how it really drives in the future (unfortunately going to be 2024 though).

I like tail happy cars on the throttle, but under braking i find rear wheel brakes a bit awkward on a car, so i put some sticky rubber on (Tamya 53294 Type A), so I won´t just spin out when I tap the brakes.

Looking forward, but up to now only enjoying the looks.

I find the proportions of the Tamiya 992 very good, but not perfect, so I had to play around with some minor tricks and the stance (hard to get the rear wheels right, and not 100% satisfied but was the best out of many options). Now I understand why Kuhfarben (SHOUT OUT, where are you ?) always takes the Rear Toe out. THe 5 degrees toe in does look a tad strange... But hey, 992 4 wheel steering ;-) ...

I tried to get into the direction of a 992 gt3 with touring package, although the rear is not quite right. It´s actually more of a "wing delete" job - which I wouldn´t do on my 1:1 car (WISH), as the touring wing is meant to go up very much, but a wing delete gt3 can´t do that. SO i guess it will be quite unstable at speed. I always wondered how they can proudly state that there are nearly no differences between gt3 and gt3 touring, as well as NO differences in setup. In my world that can only mean either the touring is too loose, or the gt3 w/o touring understeers. I would sure love to find out. Gotta keep on dreamin´.

cheers !

Looks brilliant!

In this picture you can see the stance is absolutely spot on IMO. Lovely wheels, 3D printed?

Thankyou ! No those are MST RID wheels with differnt offset rear and front. I had to Experiment a bit, first i tried +5 rear and +3 front. That was not wide enough, even with some washers. so i tried the 53332 long axle kit (both front and rear). That was too wide. Then i had to make another order and in the end used +8 in the rear and +5 in the front. Now i have a lot of wheels as they come as a 4 Pack. It is nearly perfect. I would have liked 0.5-1mm narrower in the rear, but that was not possible due to the Brake disc hexes. With the slim 4mm hexes that could work, i will try in the future, but for now ive had enough and am happy to have finished ;)
