Dont know the TXT, but i 've got 2 juggernauts.

I belive the TXT is basically the same as the jugg when it comes to gearbox and axles.

Im very pleased with the jugg, because of its nice body, and scale realisic appeareance. However the point of gravity is quite high on them. The TXT is quite expensive against the Jugg i belive.

But i would have rather put my money in a clodbuster if i were you. (if you don't have one). Cheaper car, easier to hop up, lower point of gravity.

But i agree, it's a hard choice. [8)]

Hey Fester, welcome to da forums

With regard to your choice, you'll have to be more specific - If you want a blue and yellow paperweight, there is only one choice, but if you want a hard bodied doorstop, that's a whole new kettle of fish[;)]

Let us know what you want to do with it, and someone out here will probably point you in the right direction

While these two trucks share many components they are quite different. The Juggernaut is a beauty of detail. the hard shell body is quite sexy but very easy to break and damage in roll overs. While the TXT-1 has a more common Lexan shell that does little to make the truck look realistic or unique but is tough, cheap to replace and easy to install. (Bear in mind a new complete Juggy body set is about $100US)

As for the axles and transmission these are nearly identical. with only the output shafts and their support bearing being different.

As for performance the TXT-1 wind hands down in stock form. It has cantilever damper sets and real oil filled shocks. The Juggy suspension stock is very stiff and does not articulate well.

Be aware however that the original Juggernaut has major problems with the gearset in the axles. If you are offered a Juggy one as a racer or crawler make *sure* it has been upgraded. Otherwise if you are offered a nice Juggy 1 keep it as the *rare* collector's item that it is.

Both trucks have a wide array of performance hop-ups and other cool accessories available.

One truck you did not mention but Grusomkis did is the Clodbuster. Man, where to start. This is the grand-daddy of all these Monster and so-called Monster Trucks. Still sold new today introduced in 1986. There are loads of hop-ups from dressy aluminum parts to full all out insane racing setups.

Personally I like the Juggy the best. Followed by the Clod. The TXT will give you more performance hop-ups out of the box but I still like the others better.

Here are a couple of web sites to look over for hop-up and other dressy goodies for all three trucks:

www.rc4wd.com

www.esphobbies.com

www.thundetechracing.com

There are loads more like JPS and a few others if you look around.

You may also want to join Radio Control Monster Truck Network at:

www.rcmt.net

As always, post pics of whatever truck you decide on! [:D]
