I need to spray a polycarbonate shell in military green or sand.

I know it will not be matt but I still cannot find any PS paint that looks military.

Any ideas greatly received

I'm no expert, but you can paint the outside using PS white and layer TS of your choice on top.   My favorite olive drab are TS5, TS70, TS28 in that order.

This is TS28 which is greenist of the 3 on a polycarbonate body.

There is an option of painting underneath like regular PS paint. You can spray matt finish on the outside.  If the car rolls over and get a scratch, you'll just get a shine on that spot.

I've used PS-55 flat clear spray only on the roof (the rest of the shell is still covered by the protective film). It is a whole lot less shiny.

If, as I think people are suggesting you can use TS (over PS) on the outside then you also have the AS range of military colours to choose from. My suggestion would be to then paint the inside with silver PS to simulate bare metal when the outside gets scratched.

Yeah that's a great idea actually. 👍 Would be very cool to have a runner slowly weather itself over time with battle scars .

Good idea indeed.  I think @alvinlwh would take it even further and use various rust colors on the inside to simulate wear and now tear... maybe(?)

Just opening up a can of worms for you folks before I bail..

Never tried the spray cans, but Vallejo acrylic for airbrushing is wonderful stuff. It sticks very well to lexan, though it does take a while to fully cure, about a week in my experience. Lots of camouflage/military colors available, and it dries matte.

Never tried the cans either, but used to hate the regular stuff for airbrushing as it never finish right and causes dry tip all the time. However on the inside of the shell, it does not matter and is great from both a price and ease of ordering point of view.
