InsaneJim69 1584 Posted December 3, 2021 Just wandering if a scorcher body will fit on a DT02? My son has a holiday buggy but the body is badly damaged now, but the cost of a new bare body (no decals extras or driver is almost £30!!) I can get a full Scorcher bodyset complete for £3 more. Thanks, James.
Grumpy pants 4485 Posted December 4, 2021 I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this done, but I can’t offer any help so I thought a bump might be helpful 👍
Nobbi1977 1793 Posted December 4, 2021 Dt-02 wheelbase is 10mm longer so it might be Ok.

mastino 1085 Posted December 7, 2021 This is mine, starting point a DT02 Sand Viper kit with some modification to be more in line with the wheelbase and track width, I replaced the lower arms F/R with the R ones of the DF02 kit (both front and rear). If you use a sand viper kit (high end, with metallic dogbone and drive cups) you can replace the dogbones with those himoto code 08061 or with other total 63mm long. but if you are looking for a less "sand scorcher" and more "blitzer beetle" look, you can leave it as it is.

I bent an aluminum rod, hollowed out two seats in the rear support and then the whole thing locked by a fiber support for mini4wd and something similar on the front using pieces left over from other models this first version was not very reliable and has been modified, simplifying it.

Willy iine 18805 Posted December 9, 2021 Once I get all my open projects done and once I can source a new body for around $50-60 again, I plan to make a low riding street version of the Sand Scorcher. It will run touring car tires and will resemble a stance similar to this..
