A sudgestion for forums

I just joined a work related I.T. type forum (which is sooooo dull I doubt I'll go back) But when you post a new topic you then get an email telling you you've got a reply.

Just wondered if the same could apply to T.C.

I dont know about others but I sometimes leave tc forums hanging on my desktop and hitting f5 occasionally to check for replys, if others are doing it does it affect bandwidth/traffic type issues?

We all want such a feature, but Chris already mentioned that the mail load on the system would be to high.

An option for registered users maybe ...
