For interest, any figures / numbers on visits to this web site per day and the peak visiting hour, profiles of members from age, sex, education and income level? These information could be valuable for marketing purpose and could benefit the club and its members for product development by Tamiya or other model / RC makers.

Glad you asked as I think its about time to trumpet just how well the site is doing[:)]

I collect all the usual stats, of which the most interesting ones are based on this month todate ie 10 days:

Bandwidth: 3.12gb

Hits: 3.5 million

Visits: 49,123

500+ screen savers downloaded (265 being the matrix one)

The most visited page is the one which displays your showroom item (showroom_model.asp) with over 1,709,781 page views

and the busiest times are 3am and 3pm (although I'm not 100% what time zone that time is for [:I])

Thats not at all bad particular as the summer tends to be a bit quieter with people going away on holiday etc.

As for demographics of those visitors there is not much you can tell without getting them to fill in questionnaires, which people won't do - basially, and I fall into this category - they think "why should I have to tell them my age, sex, education and income, when all I want to do is talk about RC cars."

Having met a lot of members now I would say the average is male 25 - 35, with a strong yearning to be 12 again[;)]

The stats and numbers will open Tamiya / Kyosho / other make eyes and ears that this Tamiyaclub.com is an entity to be listened and acted upon. Maybe Tamiya Ltd. will advertise in the club? The personal info could clearly state is for better product development and will not be used for any direct marketing purposes or be disclosed of the individual.

Cheers,

Jaime

ps. with the stats that you have been keeping now I know why the members award is taking so long[:P]

Spot on! (well, a couple of years out for me, I'm 37, but certainly fit all the other criteria for an average visitor [:D])
