They were bought in a shop, i would recomend to take them to the shop for the Setup.

If the Radiosystem is faulty they will exchange them for a working one.

Maybe the charge of the Teansmitters are a bad patch.

If you've now got one working, you could swap the two transmitters around, binding each to the other receiver. That would perhaps rule out a problem with the transmitter (eg throttle pot not working). Given that the steering doesn't work full range when plugged into the throttle socket, that suggests that it's either the transmitter or receiver at fault, not the ESC?

You could also prove that by plugging the working TBLE02S into the not-working receiver. Does that still work, or now stop working?

You're at least making good progress if you've got one working!

"(due to Tamiya not being able to source their own ESC due to chip shortages)"

They are pretty much plug and (wait a few seconds) go, no settings required.

Also, can you confirm if yours is the Reflex Pro Stick or not? Your OP did not say Pro but later on you did say Pro. I have the Pro and maybe able to walk you through the EPA and DR settings if that's what you have. If it is the non Pro, then there are pretty much no settings at all.

Hi

its the Pro 3.1. I got it working with my other son’s Tamiya ESC, it’s just the Carson one which seems not to play. If I plug in into the steering channel, it beeps and powers the motor

I’ve got it all working as it looks like the Carson receiver is dud in my son’s car as the ESC works fine with the other receiver

Good work! Did you try binding the transmitters to the other receivers (ie effectively swapping the transmitters over) to work out whether it's the transmitter's channel 2 output that's bad, or the receiver's channel 2? Not that it really matters in the sense that they come as a set, so both would get swapped out together under warranty anyway.

If it's any consolation, getting mechanical speed controllers set up correctly could be just as much hassle back in the day!

Hi. Yep, all swapped over and the receiver seems to be the fault. I’ve just spoken with the shop and I have to send them back the whole radio kit, they have to test it and prove I’m not inept and then they will send me a replacement. I’m disappointed for my son as he’s really keen to finish the car

Maybe you need to buy yourself a kit too? Let your son have the radio gear from yours, and then you get the replacement for his when it arrives. That way he'd get his sooner, so it's probably the most responsible thing to do?!
