showroom feature request

I think I've asked for this before, but I'll try again. It would really cool if there was a simple comment area for each entry in the showroom. Something where I could say 'hey, nice car' to someone and other people could reply.

Any text entered becomes part of the showroom entry, owned by the showroom owner to be deleted/editted if they want, just like any other part of the showroom entry. Each showroom item can have a checkbox to enable or disable the comment system if the TC member doesn't want this. The showroom owver can also add comments to the comments section to reply to people if they want.

It might be best to limit it to TC club members who are logged into the main page only. Although, maybe not. You could use the showroom accounts (userids), as I imagine trying to use the forum user accounts could get tricky here as you currently have the forums very separate from the rest of TC.

They do this on the AVSforum gallery which is a similar concept to TC showroom.

I would imagine that archiving all the comments would be an additional strain on resources... how about if TC implements what many online news sources do with articles? Have a comments/feedback/TalkBack section at the end but one where entries get scrolled off after a few days... or older text could be purged if the showroom's comments exceeds a kilobyte or so.

I don't think the comments for a single showroom entry would ever approach the space taken up by a single image. Text is small. I guess you could always limit a showroom entry to 5 (from 6) pictures if you wish to accept comments. I'd happily accept that tradeoff.
