I know I've seen this somewhere before, but is it possible to knock out old, worn dogbone/driveshaft pins and refresh them with new (custom cut from steel rod likely) pins? I have some rare Thorp dogbones I'd like to refresh.

Yes. I have a tool bought off ‘candyman’ on MSUK forum for this (not sure where it is though!). It pushes them out. You might be able to buy the same dimension pins for another model.

Yep. Done it before a few times. As above, they need to be pushed out rather than tapped out with a hammer. Bit of shock oil and push them out. I started by pushing the pin out in the vice, into a tiny socket. When it's flush with the dogbone, use the new one to press it out. Bit awkward bit a little patience and it's done.

This ^^ Use the “new” pin to push out the old one. I have a Tool for 1/8 (Mugen Seiki) which would likely work for 1/10 too, but is an expensive tool for a replacement here and there. I do a lot of pins in my 1/8 buggies so it was worth buying the tool. Using a vice and a socket sounds like a good method

Try a bicycle chain removal tool- some of these let you press out these kind of pins. Pretty cheap and a lot of people might have them to try if the one they have could work.
