Working on a TD4 for local races

Recommended Posts

Like I said, I'm working on making my TD4 into a track racer. So far, I've moved the battery and servo positions, changed the body mounts for a race body, and mounting a fan inside the cooling scoop. changing over to TRF Big Bores all around and going to be running 13.5 brushless.

Looks good Trowa. Are those the TD4 hop-up servo mounts? Looking forward to seeing the body you choose.

Are you using a transverse battery? The reason I ask is I thought if you used the stock shaped servo mounts it would move the servo to far across to fit the battery?

Yes Sir. the stock kit includes the battery holders the transverse mounted TD2 will use, all that's needed are 4x 9805886

You cutting the body to fit? Or using a different one?

I'm actually gonna look at what we have at work for light weight bodies and find one that will fit nicely. I work at an RC distributor that has it's own outdoors track.

Bigbores

Almost a shame to have inboard suspension when fitting them. Suppose it stops them getting dirty
