Tire opinion (again!)

What looks better on this Double Dare, the bigger tires:

...or the smaller tires?...

 

The bigger tires (albeit different) are nearly the exact same size as the stock Double Dare tires, but somehow the smaller tires look better and more proportionate to me. What y'all think?

Thanks for the opinions. I'll have two more pics to compare tomorrow night: one with Axial BKTs and one with #2 tires, but pushed out slightly as @Frog Jumper suggested. lol, I'm going to throw out those JC Ranger tires (first pic). They don't look good on anything!

Agree with #2.  The Axial tires may be the perfect tire for that, right in between the two size wise with the nice chevron tread.  Interested to see how that looks.

Ok, narrowing it down to these two options. 

#1 Axial BKT tires. This setup is exactly the same stance and tire spacing as the original Kyosho tires.

#2 This is what @Frog Jumper had in mind I think. These tires are slightly smaller but I changed the wheels' offset to push the wheels out a little bit.

#2 is reminiscant of early prototype pictures of the Double Dare featured in Tower ads. It featured shorter but wider tires similar to the Big Brute:

Tough one...I like the size of the Axial tires, but I also like how the HPI tires wrap the wheel a bit.  I've spent hours staring at this same thing on my own trucks so I get it.  Either way I think it looks good.  Would be a tough call for me.

Thanks for the opinions guys! I'm going to go with #2 and see if I like it in action. Double Dares are known to be tipsy, so the extra width wouldn't hurt.
