1985 Hotshot Restoration

Apologies for yet another build thread everyone

I picked this up the other day off eBay. Not sure why really but I do remember being bored and might possibly have had a couple of beers

 

 

As is obvious it's seen better days, I particularly like the attempt to colour the front wheels black with some sort of felt tip pen 😁. Will attempt to get this back it's original condition, want to try and keep it completely vintage so will avoid re re parts unless it's absolutely necessary

Disassembled. Parts having a little soak in some degreaser

Can anyone spot the obvious imposter 🤣

 

These are the only parts that will definitely need replacing as the plastics are broken. I've not looked too closely at the rest of the plastics yet

Cool, doesn't look like too bad a set of parts to replace mate. Enjoy the resto!

The imposter is the aftermarket battery plate, this Hotshot will come up nicely .

I was a bit disappointed when I saw the bumper wasn’t a mk1 , but still an original is very nice to have

Maybe I should have said 2 imposters as I'd forgot about the battery plate 🤣
