@Busdriver  Maybe try Phat Bodies Cooper bodies in this case?   It's a 210mm wheel base and with your painting and assembly skills, I'm sure you can make them look real nice.  I believe they are in the UK.

Yes theres a couple of bodies that mih=ght do the trick. L&L do a nice pickup and a minivan. My wife and her two brothers shared a blue minvan when they were younger. Perhaps she might take an interest if I did a copy!!!!!

Good idea. You could even call it a late Valentine's gift ;)

One day I’ve definitely got to reproduce the Leyland 1275GT I drove years ago.

L&L do a 1275 GT saloon and estate.

The Matrixline Mini shell isn't bad. The moulded blobs that are meant to represent wipers let it down a bit, but it is pretty resilient and makes a good runner shell. My nephew has been using one for a few years now, and while it is by no means pristine anymore, it hasn't cracked or broken yet. I use one as a runner shell for my M-03 too.

Thanks. I will look in to that. And a chassis to go with it ;)

Paranoid about the customs man!!!

My Asiatee order just cleared customs in 2 minutes, meaning no "fines". Order value is £116.87 including postage. Keep your Far East orders below £135 in total and there should be no problems with UKBA.

I'd think about an FWD chassis if I could find a Lancia Fulvia or Zagato bodyshell, that or an Alfasud/Sprint.

All of them. Really stunning cars. I had an Alfasud Sprint for a month or so and it was a hoot to drive. Alas they all rotted away to dust😩

Well my M05 GR Yaris has arrived. Body is a work of art. They really can pack in the detail when they try325D32BD-35BE-4FEE-A85A-4B4C6B1EA175.thumb.jpeg.acc2be69c28761bfbfa48f42aa91752c.jpeg

the box art red with the black roof is good. There are only 3 pro typical colours, white black and the red. I am possibly drawn to something more eye popping. Neon green has been suggested but it just grates a little. I’m more drawn to metallic orange with black roof and wheels. I’ve started with the M05 due to its flexibility ie S,M,L. Going to build it to fit the Yaris on the 239 long chassis. This seems the least popular length for re pro bodies that I’ve seen. My plan is if I like the FWD format I will buy an M07 concept for the Yaris shell and convert the M05 back to 210/225 and put either a mini or mini pickup/traveller body on it.

Excellent! My MST TCR-M also just landed in Kirkwall a few moments ago, so quite a few MTCs are getting delivered today.

As for colors, how about heading down to your nearest fast food carpark to get some inspiration from the yobos down there? 😁

Got to love how they fill in their customs form, no import fees. 😁

If I get an M07 concept would it handle a 13.5t brushless or would that be over the top

It'd be over the top - but it will handle it. You might want to look at making sure you have a hardened pinion gear, and the TA06 metal gear diff cover and gears as well.

17.5 is enough tbh

Think I might try a 17.5t but for the time being I will stick with a TT motor. Can I use an 18t pinion or do I need 20t

There is only so much power you can put through the front wheels of a car (who said that? 🤔). Tamiya recommend a TT/LT for the M-05s (believe it will be the same for M-07?) and a 17.5T is about the same as a TT. 13.5T is more into the Zs power zone.
