Initial tear down done.  Needed the Dremel more than a screw driver.

I will admit that I am concerned about this build due the rarity and amount of parts required.

Youve definitely got a unique collection! Never heared of one of these before - looking at the shock tower arrangements im guessing this was another of their touring cars derived from an earlier buggy chassis?

Love the fan!!!

In short, yes.

Kyosho Super Tens also had fans.

So this is the first Kyosho Super Eight Landmax.  They did do another version and I think that was it.  It was a .21 engined rally car and touring car.  Shells included Mitsubishi Lancer, RS Escort, Subaru Impreza, Lancia Stratos, Toyota Corolla, Nissan GTR, Volvo S40, Alfo Romeo 156 and a Stadium Truck (F150?)

Dimensions were, Length:585, WB:325, width:250 and weighed about 3.2kg.

There were quite a few options available, including 2 speed.

Because of it's width, it rolled a lot.  Got fed up with this and fitted buggy arms from the Inferno DX and utilised many option parts from this series and the MP chassis series, hence the title.

The re-build has been pretty straight forwards so far, as the car was in good condition.  Made easier with the purchase of parts 5 years ago.

Parts replaced so far; front gearbox case, rear gearbox case, center diff uprights, suspension boots, steering balls and plastic ball ends, fuel tank, motor mounts, air filter, carburetor throttle arm boot, exhaust silicone gasket, exhaust silicone joiner.  Waiting on new servo and steel screw.

So back on this.

Parts arrived a while ago and fitted.  The only other thing I had to purchase was 17mm hex drives, as the originals were 19mm, which allowed me to use other wheels.

Just need to do a full chassis set up, electrics, fuel lines and engine tune.  Oh and paint new body, McLaren 720.
