I bought a Thunder Shot project but it is missing quite a few parts.  Does anyone have any of the following?

Chassis,   A-Parts,   S-Parts,   Propeller Joint 2595042,   Counter Shaft 2595043,   Propeller Shaft 5395016,   Tie Rod 5325006,   Speed Control Rod 5315008,   Ball Connector 3 off 3455137,   Ball Connector 1 off 3455147,   Adjuster 2 off 0445005,   Resistor Plate 4305107

Also, if anyone has a body shell of any of the family of cars or a suitable period BEC receiver I really appreciate it.

Regards,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I hope this message finds you well in these challenging times.

My name is Tom and I live in Ephrata, PA USA not too far from Philadelphia. I am new to this site, and new to the world of all things Tamiya. I am retired and always in search of a new project, so I recently purchased a rather large lot of RC car and airplane parts from someone who had bought them at auction years ago when a local hobby shop was closing. I'm still getting all of the parts organized, but I started with Tamiya. I turns out I do have a Thunder Shot chassis P/N 0335086 which is new-old stock in the original bag which I would be happy to sell to you if you want. I have attached a photo which, by definition, is not great because the part is in an old plastic bag which I'm not going to open, but the chassis appears to be whole and in good condition. Unfortunately, I do not seem to have any of the other parts you are looking for. However, I do have two screw bags (new, old stock) B and C for the Thunder Shot which you may purchase if you want (photos also attached).

I am planning to sell these parts on eBay once I get organized, but I am happy to offer them to you first (as will be my habit with members of this club).  Because I am new at this it is hard for me to know what a fair price might be. I see a lot of "new" parts being offered online of questionable origin, but not too many authentic vintage Tamiya parts like the ones I have come upon. I love this old stuff that is still around!

Anyway, let me take a shot at it; I want you to have this chassis (and screw bags if you wish), but I want to be fair. How about $25.00 US for the chassis, and $15 US each for the screw bags if you are interested in them. You would also have to cover the cost of shipping them to you. Yes?

I will wait to hear from you, Dave. You can reply through the club website (I imagine) or email me directly at tmbinder@hotmail.com. In any event, good luck with your restoration project!

Yours,

Tom Binder

Well, Dave, that’s sad, but I’m beginning to understand what a huge investment in both time and money it is to restore one of these vehicles. Best wishes!

Tom
