Racing Master 956 antenna

Quick question, a mate as a couple 956’s and is wondering is the antenna the same/similar to the Hotshot/Fox variant? It looks to be the same type spring steel with alloy base that has a threaded hole underneath

Pretty certain that would be the re release version. The originals had a plastic tube aerial that pushed into an aluminium holder on the chassis, and the reciever wire ran up through the middle.

Hi Mtbkym01,

I've dug out my original 959, original Fox and also found a currently produced antenna. 

I believe the the antennas from the original 956, original fox and the re-release are the same. The original one I have for the 956 looks to be a couple of millimetres longer, but that may just come down to manufacturing tolerances. 

The photo shows the three antennas. The Fox is wrapped in the receiver wire and the 959 has white paint marks on it.
