Messages from TC main site

When I get an email message about anything in my trades on the main site  , unless the sender mentions specifically what they are messaging about , I don't know what they are messaging about as there is no message header . Does this happen to everyone ?

Yes. I always have to respond first by asking what it is they are interested in.

And more often than not it is something that has long since been sold and deleted but has still appeared in a Google search

Yep, happens to everyone. I got a message: "Is it still for sale?" So first question is always what car are you talking about?
