Upto now everyones showroom is for pictures of models they have now not models they had or want.

The main reason for this is that we did not want our resources fillin g up with duplicate pictures, eg a model passes hands 4 times within the club and each person has a picture of it in their showrooms. It also throws our users rides stats is the same car is included in 4 showrooms - it will count as four seperate cars on the stats.

The only exception to this rule is action photos, which are a bit different,as the likely hood of two people posting a similar action picture of the same car is unlikely.(these don't count towards the stats either)

I still think they are valid reasons but as always its up for discussion.

Cheers

Another point to consider is unique models one once had and sold. It is sad to get these lost. I am for instance thinking of Emmanuel Beaufils Nikko truck which was very nicelly restored and enhanced.

To my mind, as long as the car has a particular interest and has not been bought by nother TC member, why not letting it in the showroom. This being said, all the cars I've sold are long gone out of my showroom...

It should be OK ONLY if the car(s) are listed as a Misc. item and not for example a no-longer-owned Blackfoot as "58058 - Blackfoot"... [|)]

Hmmm I don't thing thats such a good idea sjoerd [8)]

there are far too many items in the "Misc" that have been mis-listed and do not belong, please don't suggest that ppl relist Tamiya items that they have sold as "Misc" just cos they don't have them anymore?

instead do what I do ( http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=11523&id=37 ) have a seperate Showroom entry (that could be either "Misc" or "Tamiya Model not listed") and put pics of all the cars that you HAD but do NOT own anymore in there, with perhaps a short note to say where and who they have gone to, OK so it gets a bit tricky if you have parted with more than 6 cars [8)] but if you double the pictures up in each box then you can get more then 6 cars in there.

But I know that for some ppl keeping hold of their cars for more than 5 mins is a very difficult task [;)]

I think if you put them as "Tamiya Model not listed" they still count in your "rating", wouldn't think that is according to TC rules... [8)][?]
