mastino 1085 Posted April 1, 2022 Hi there, Is there no alternative to the alu ball nut even from another manufacturer? I can't find it in EU shipped at good price. Thanks.
FlyHustla 32 Posted April 2, 2022 I thought about trying a small nylock nut

Then I was able to hold it in place with a screwdriver. 2
mastino 1085 Posted April 3, 2022 I found out that the ball diff used on the TD2 and TD4 chassis ( available as spare 22025 WITH the alu ball nut) can also be used on the M07 and M08 chassis instead of the gear differential. So the opposite may be true.... This is what I have on my M07, I'm going to try to use it....
Howards 457 Posted April 4, 2022 It's an M3 nut; you can wedge a nyloc M3 nut in the plastic diff nut housing that the Durga uses (D parts I think...look it up in the TD4 thread) XV01 gear diff is a direct swap.
mastino 1085 Posted April 4, 2022 It is smaller, M2.
Howards 457 Posted April 4, 2022 Sure. Point is you can cobble something approximate to the alu nut from a stock nut and a cheapy plastic part that Tamiya already make.
