Hi All, this isn't an attempt to create an all out war or another locked post....So please don't post inflammatory responces.

I have noticed that there have been numerous posts in various forums recently that have turned out to be slanging matches.

Can we all stay freindly and just enjoy our hobby?

This has happened before. It comes in cycles like the seasons. The best way to stop them is to quash that urge inside you to post your two cents. Eventually the bickering parties will peter out or take it off line

we have them every so often - they crop up in batches for a week or two and then generally die away.

9/10 they come down to simple misunderstandings and the fact that once you have written something it can be read in lots of different ways. Its completely different to talking face to face with much more scope for things to be taken the wrong way. When we tlak about cars everything is fine, as soon as we start commenting on each other thats when it all kicks off.

Number 1 rule - don't retaliate. As soon as you do both parties are in the wrong. If you have a problem let the admins know.

If you want a real laugh go read the forum at www.channel4.com where they are discussing David Blane - talk about heated![] And they are just talking about a man sitting in a box. Its been pulled off line twice as far as i know. I wouldn't want to be an admin on that board

On the whole I don't reckon we do too bad.
