Let’s hope they get the wheels/tyres right. The right style and wide enough, not just a rehash of  TT02/other chassis’s of the past!!!!! Must admit it does look gorgeous!

I share your hope, but I’m pessimistic. As for wider rear wheels, Tamiya doesn’t seem to consider that anymore, except for in anniversary kits.  

Also, for some reason I can’t possibly comprehend, Tamiya releases lots of new chassis types and bodies, but with few exceptions just recycles wheels. The genuinely new wheels for the 2021 Ford Bronco gave me a little hope that we may get new wheels with further new models too, but until it actually happens, I think we can expect Tamiya to continue recycling old existing wheels.

Would much prefer an F1 GTR longtail, im sure the Senna is very capable but modern car design doesnt seem to do anything for me. Nice to see a brand new shell moulding though.

I agree... it would be cool to see some of these bodies coming out on some more interesting chassis.  That Senna would be awesome on a TC-01...

They did that with the Europa and it turned out ok.

The TC01 is 257mm 👍 it's a pity Tamiya don't use this chassis much apart from the horrid formula e car. 🤦‍♂️😕

The days of the TA / TB cars coming with bodies is long gone. Most use those chassis for more competitive means and end up not using the body that comes with the kit. This is why Tamiya releases these on TT01/TT02, which is more for the car loving enthusiast.  They then release these as body sets for the likes of me, who choses to run on a scale body on a TA08 or TRF cars.. versus look alike bodies from BittyDesign, Exotek etc.

Im happy to see this McLaren release. Ever since the Ferrari license expired there has been a lack of Exotic / Hypercar bodies from Tamiya. This one will do just fine. Hopefully more McLarens will follow.

I still have hopes for a new Carrera.. it’s been ages!

The box art is white. The orange one is the 1/24 static kit. 👍

Looks a stunning bodyset though. Might actually get myself one of these and paint it a dark Pearlescent Purple 👍😍

Definitely think a bodyset is worth looking at . There’s some lovely colours that could be used along with some carbon fibre sticker!!!
