morrisey0 297 Posted June 12, 2022 Hello all! I am getting into a Semi build, and am planning on painting the chassis rails, and numerous plastic parts that attached to it. The flat surfaces are not an issue, but some of these pieces have tight complex inside corners and such. What is my best way to key these parts, or if I am using Tamiya surface primer, do I really need to? I have found that it sticks pretty well to parts that have only been cleaned well, but I don't want to find out in a couple of weeks that none of it really stuck. Thanks
Nick G 54 Posted June 12, 2022 I painted the chasis of my Volvo when I built it. Just gave everything a good clean then used Halfords paints on it. Several years on and it's still fine. Nick
Willy iine 18803 Posted June 12, 2022 @morrisey0 This is going to be more a display? If so you're probably fine just using Tamiya Primer and paint of your choice. I rarely paint my chassis...and when I do, I only paint in a location I know it will not get scuffed/chipped..
