My second coat of TS13 clear dried with foggy patches. I had given the first coat about 16 hours of dry time.  First coat was beautiful. Second coat dried outside, in the shade, on a warm low humidity day.

What can I do?

Rught now, I’m thinking about 3000grit to polish it out and start again. Or just cover it all with another coat of Blue Mica and call it done.

Thoughts?

You will have to sand off the layer where it’s cloudy and respray.  But as you said, if you can achieve gloss with the 3000 grit + paste polish, then you might be okay.

Can’t tell without seeing it.  GL!

As for paste polish I just use automotive polish by Meguiar’s called ScratchX.  It’s an off the shelf product sold basically Amazon and most automotive parts stores.

And for RC, I usually just use a short pile MF towel to work the product in gently by hand.  I can achieve some incredible gloss with it, and do surface refinishing on scratched plastic windshields. . :D

This is TS50 Mica Blue straight out of the can, no clearcoat.  It's super glossy as is..

After testing on a patch with 3000grit, I determined it would be easier and time consuming to give it one more coat of Blue Mica and call it done. Looks good enough.

Sounds good.  Honestly I've never used TS clear over glossy TS paints.

I sometimes use Mr.SuperClear matte finish to tone down gloss where I want it.  Like the kidneys on the Beetle's hood in the picture above, it's actually matte using Mr. SuperClear (acrylic).
