My ebay thing works fine now - cheers[^]

Seems to be ok on other ID's too, just checked NetsmithUK and Tipsy and both link up fine.

I think ebya changed what was allowable as userid recently and this might be causing some problem with particular usernames that use none standard characters.

As far as the Chat goes, I seem to have lost all contact with the company that provided the service, (which costs me $75.00 per year [8)]) Website is down and emails bounce.

Hopefully its just a christmas 'glitch' and the company hasn't gone belly up.

Will keep you informed. If someone notices its back then please post here.

Thanks

Chris

Sorry guys... have been trying this on & off forever and

have never got it to work. Always the grey screen &

"We're sorry. The chat room may not be accessed from this page"

However I do notice a small new window opening up... but

it closes itself quickly afterwards.

Have tried this on several different PCs now.

Any particular settings I need?

Hi Willy

I think your problem is a different one - as far as I know the Chat is back, a bunch of us were in there last night.

The message you are getting is not an error but a security warning, basically the applet checks it is only every opened from the page/url

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/betachat.asp

If that is different for any reason you will get that message. A few people before had the ip address in instead of the domain name, any service which redirect or translate would have problems too.

Can you send me a screen shot?

Thanks

I had this on my dads pc over xmas

He runs 2000 and I had to get the service pack to get it working.

I tried the java file (msjavx86.exe) but couldn't run it without the service pack, and once I got the SP, chat worked anyway.

Thought I'd have another shot at this again. Nup - no go. [V]

I access it from the LHS menubar, not a saved Favourite bookmark.

Have turned On every option in IE, lowest security.

This is what I get... (its blue today, was grey before):

Sorry Willy I'm none the wiser.

The error message where it complained about the opening URL page, looked solvable for any of the reasons I listed. Just a blue screen or no error is just complete unknown. Any chance you can try loggin in from another machine, just as a test? Or try connecting via another ISP

Something somewhere is blocking your access, and the only thing I can think of is something installed on your machine (intentionally or not) or with your ISP

Cheers

Chris
