@Busdriver Is the nose & front wings from your Camel Neo Scorcher scratch-built or scavenged from another model? It looks fantastic.

It is making me think about a Formula build based on a TT-02B Neo Scorcher, modded for RWD using fat tires on the rear and touring car tires in front.

Thanks, It’s scratch built.Just kept snipping away at it until it fitted. It’s fixed to an adapted TT02 touring car lower bumper so the body can be removed as if stock.

Lowest DT-03 in neighborhood. It is super fun on road and sometimes even make funny noises when chassis cover touches ground ( like F1!)

No problem!

My personal favorite Tamiya to play with is the Blitzer Beetle, love that chassis and set up! So i've done a couple of different shells, and the beetle body shell is always a fun one anyway. I picked up a couple of beat-up damaged shells and wanted to do something different and not the box art i usually like. As the shell was damaged in certain places it needed trimming and some epoxy to get right so just ran with that really.

Trimmed down the front fenders, got rid of the damaged nose, and then the same with the rear panels, that led to some of the design decisions. Always fancied having a mock up engine in a tamiya so decided to see what it would look like and how it would fit.... then came the interior. Had a brand new cockpit laying around and so cut that up to fit, modified the front and made a front number / cattle bar for it, and eventually found a perfectly sized LED that completed the front end look. Picked up some generic uprated metal shocks and then just played around with paint, different options and air intakes. Ordered some custom colored decals from MCI Racing, engine and intakes from Injora and just played with it for a while....

That looks great @TheGizmodi

Love the mock up engine which is nicely detailed and the rear wing plus the front lightbar. I'm also interested to the the chassis if you can share too.

Thanks!

The Chassis is the standard Blitzer Beetle with uprated shocks. The shell is actually an old beat up monster beetle version modified and glued together as it was in a sorry old state.

I got some adjustable turnbuckles to upgrade the steering / geometry but haven't had time to fit them as of yet. Contemplating making some inner wheel arches but just not sure ;o)

@Addicted

Are these green and yellow plastic 3D printed or were these really available? I know there were only black, blue and red parts for the TA-01/02/03, FF-01, CC-01.

However, these look great!

Hi, these were available back in the 90’s as a ltd edition release from Tamiya 😎

Looks great, would be great to see the chassis without the body. You seem to have achieved a lot of lift but still kept geometry intact?

Echo all the comments above @TheGizmodi your Beetle is epic!

Does the rear run OK with that much angle on the arms and dog bones?

@Willy iine do you have static models/ artistic/ anything background?

I saw many of your models and "Tamiya Workshop" and it is totally awesome.

I spent good few years on Static Models Forums and I saw only few people who had skills on similar level as you.

I have not expected such things on RC Forum...

Thanks, that is a mix of yellow and camel yellow backed with white.  B)   Wanted to get that really punchy American hot rod color instead of the box art yellow.

Very nice all of those. Could you tell me what those yellow wheels are? Have you dyed some white ones? I am hoping to achieve a similar look, albeit slightly darker shade yellow. I have some JC Racing Fox ones to dye but I'm not sure whether it'll work.
