Fantastic work as usual @OoALEJOoO

Thanks man, will go into a cockpit for a Group C Mercedes C11. It's been a slow build with a mod to allow using F104 wheels and rubber tires, instead of the kit foams.

@silvertriple username checks out:

Edit: I give up, i was not able to show the shot with Silver driver from original post

OFT9zfD.png

The silver driver is due to rendering issue. The driver is the result of a scan I got from a friend and it doesn't work very well with rendering in Fusion 360, as polygons are very random compared to parametric modeling... I can't do better in terms of rendering (unless I model the driver which is somehow too complex for me to do at this stage (something I'm not able to do at this stage)...

Oh my gosh @GeeWings GF01 Bullhead Konghead mash up is superb well done that man :)

Thanks so much. I’ve really enjoyed putting this one together. This is the radio shack donor in case you ever want to make your own:

It’s a cool little RC that has 4WD and 4Wsteering but most of the electrics were missing from mine so I just got it for the shell.

I love your MCD rally car @bRIBEGuy. Would you show us a picture of it without the body shell?

Thanks!

I thought I had a bunch of chassis shots, but this is the only one I found:

HHIdgs4.jpg

Guess I'll have to take some more...

The car is pretty much mechanical art, IMO.  It reminds me of a Tamiya Avante in that way... both cars offer a lot of enjoyment in just looking at the materials and engineering.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Thank you. The picture without the body shows the real, enormous size of the car. All the tiny electronics. And you're right, it looks amazing.

Where do you run it?

I've only taken it out a few times so far, one of which run DEFINITELY defined the street in front of my house as too small.... ha ha ha!  Relatively near to where I am is a bit of an industrial area, and they have some pretty huge lots and truck loading bays that mainly sit unused on Sundays.  That's been a pretty good run location so far.

The scale really is hard to grasp unless you see it in person.  The "tiny electronics" in the car are huge.  That's a 1/4scale steering servo.  The motor is roughly the size of a can of soda.  The tires make 1:10 monster truck tires look small, and "normal" 1:10 tires seem tiny.

It's very impressive. I would have problems to work on it. Regarding its size the only place would be the dining table.

@87lc2 Nice model you have there, that Mercedes looks outstanding  Much nicer than the original Gunmetal. Yellow + Green is a great combination.

@Re-Bugged -FYI- i can not see your latest pictures in the picture thread.

I get that too with other peoples sometimes, one day all you see is a small blue question mark where the image should be, then another day the full image appears. Technology does strange things.

I’m also just getting my head around the new TC photo system. We’ll see what happens.

I got your pictures. I think it depends on what you’re using to view with. I often see people’s comments about pictures and I like 🤔 as I don’t see anything, then like yours I get the opposite. I use an IPhone most of the time so maybe that has something to do with. Sometimes it just takes a long time to download and I’m half way through reading the thread and the pictures arrive. @Mad Ax is a prime example!!

I use TCPhotos almost exclusively now, but it's blocked at work, so often I check threads during a break and have to remember to come back and check on my home laptop later.

I notice TCPhotos can sometimes be a little slow to load the first time in a session, and the BBCode tags don't reserve a size on the page so the view jumps around as all the images find their spot.

I'm kinda liking the update to TCPhotos - I've had to rethink my posting process slightly as right-click-open-new-window no longer works on the album screen, but it's no slower, I just need to remember to work it differently.  Overall I find it a little slicker.  I love the new sub-albums feature (I've been wanting that for ages, it'll make it sooo much easier to organise my profile and find things) but as yet there's no option to move existing albums into another album.  That would be nice, manually moving all the photos just for the sake of a tidier profile will be a lot of hassle (hopefully it won't change the links to the images, otherwise that would screw up all my threads and basically be a show-stopper).

So far the #1 bug that impacts my workflow (which in fairness I have never reported) is that the "most recent" sequence orders by the time the database says "yes, I have your image saved, thanks", not the time I actually uploaded it.  I've noticed the first image in an upload batch can sometimes take a while (I guess there's a delay responding to the first image in a batch), so it gets stored out of sequence, so when I'm clicking through the images to do a post, I sometimes randomly find one that should have been further up the list.  I generally post in the order I took the photos, so this means I have to have a Windows photo browser open to preview the photos on my HD, then manually pick from the thumbnail view in the TCPhotos album to get the one I need.  That said, the new thumbnail slideshow at the bottom of the image view is hugely helpful in this and has already saved me time.

For quite a while I've been meaning to inspect the API calls and see if I can write a wrapper for it, so I can spool off some unattended uploads from a Windows command line and leave them to finish.  I already wrote a command-line app that resizes my images and adds a watermark, if it could then start the upload and wait for a successful response before uploading the next, that would save me tonnes of dead time and ensure all my images are stored in the right order.

Overall though it's improved my experience way more than I expected :)

Sorry, I have hugely tangented, and have nothing constructive to add to the comment thread because I'm on the work network and can't see any images in the gallery!

DT-03 turned into submarine for about 1 minute, so I had to rebuild it... again.

As always, I added something extra.

Love the colours . Are the stripes painted or applied?

Thanks, the white stripes on my MX5?  Those are 3M2080 automotive vinyl in matte white.   I just cut it 10mm width and applied.  I tried other vinyls but the 2080's are super easy to apply as it contours with the body.  The rear can be tricky to get parallel as the bumper is rounded, but with patience and hope, no issue.   My first choice was to use ghost stripes, but I did not have any in my 1:1 car vinyl stash..  so now my MX5 looks like a poorman's Viper. lol

@Ferruz : What a great shot. You always make great action shots, but for me this one is outstanding! Perfect picture.
