This is just utterly marvellous.

Thanks, I appreciate that!ย  The build is all very "goofy", so it seemed like a fun touch.ย  :)

Iโ€™ve said it in another thread but this whole build is so good. Love all the personal touches youโ€™ve added and the co-drivers manual is just ๐Ÿคฉ

Thank you, my friend! Slowly going through my backlog of spare bodies. Right now it's mounted on a trusty TT-02 but, given the real Porsche RSR is RWD, I am contemplating yet another RWD conversion. Thisย classic RSR had aย rear-engineย (unlike the contemporary RSR which is mid-engine), and therefore the best way to reflect this is to do the following conversion: MF-01X + TL-01 arms + 254mm (or 249mm) wheelbase, without the need of extending the propeller shaft since its RWD.

Ended up going with a Savox 1251MG servo.

Anyone building one of these, I recommend a low profile servo - if the manufacturerโ€™s dimensions are even slightly out (for a full height servo), then it likely wonโ€™t fit.

@_Ben_: My first thoughts, โ€žwowโ€ฆcool black TRF201 mod and how did he get all theseย parts black?โ€œ๐Ÿ˜‚

Presumably because I have in my TRF201 the same servo:

But this is a Kyosho Dirt Master, isnโ€˜t it?

Correct - itโ€™s a Dirt Master!

@Nicadraus are those tamiya wheels and tires on that great looking tt01?

Thank you! The wheels and tires are from a generic brand called Austar.

What is Tamiya designed The Frog to have a beetle body?

I bought a couple of Sand Scorcher bodies last year with the intention of using one for the SRB pile-o-parts and one extra. At some point I put the SRB on the back burner and thought Iโ€™d use one on the Frog. After looking around for inspiration, I found a lot of stock Sand Scorcher paint schemes. Then I thought of the Frog livery on a beetle body. Also added the spot light pods from the Frog to try to carry the look over. Iโ€™m happy with the results, but not sure Iโ€™ll keep it.ย

@ADRay1000 - how did you fit the Sand Scorcher body to the ORV (Frog) chassis? Front is the standard pin, I guess, but on the sides? Just screws into the battery holder on each side?

Built a few of the scorcher on frog chassis. ย  I found the frontย sits a little too high unless you shape it around the ย radius arms on the front suspension.ย

yes for the sides, and a stock Brat post for the front. Iโ€™d like to come up with something better. Iโ€™ve seen people make roll bars that use the sand scorcher mounting point that I might try to replicate.ย

ย Yeah, it rides a little high in the front. Someday Iโ€™d like to look into an aftermarket shock and shock tower setup that might need that space. Or Iโ€™ll shorten the Brat post ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Wow mate!!!๐Ÿ˜ฏ That is epic๐Ÿ˜Ž It's all paint again as usual I assume?

I know you usually do out of the ordinary designs, so what is this colour scheme? It's so nuts it works!!!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

@Kol__ย Thanksย :D, I'm quite pleased with it, probablyย my best one yet I think.

Yes 95+% paint, things like the headlights and rear light cluster are the decals but all the Porsche, Ansys and Penske are painted as are all the colours andย the black and white stripes between them.

I'd like to say it's my original design but it's a copy, sort of, from theย 100thย Le Mans, Porsche 936 Penske Motorsport livery. I reallyย like it so attempted it.ย

HELLER cooperates with Porsche Penske Motorsport
