Tamiya TRF420X Review and build

Recommended Posts

Have eventually finished my TRF420X review.

It really is a nice step forward. I am getting faster and faster with this car. The crazy thing is that it’s so easy to drive. Today I just broke my PB (and track record) by over 10 seconds with this car. I set the time in the final, I wasn’t even pushing too hard as I wanted to ensure I got top points for the summer championship.

I also included a range of different drivers experiences with the new chassis in this review.

Beautiful build and review!

Tamiya never fails to catch my eye especially with all those blue bits. B)

Pretty good in-depth review. I definitely appreciate the comparison between the old and new car.

The crazy machining of the alloy parts these days is bordering on excessive. It makes the cars appear much less race-oriented than the generations before. While it looks amazing I can't help think how much cost could have been reduced by going with a simpler asthenic. ...And I thought they were overdoing some of it back in the MSXX days (which I loved).
