How to change the color on pre-painted bodies (prepainted midnight pumpkin metallic)?

That's the stuff.

Your bodies will likely be polystyrene.  It's a misnomer that everyone refers to hardbodies as ABS.  Look on the inside of the body, there will be a stamp that says PS (I think it's on the underside of the bed on the Pumpkin).  That denotes material.  ABS = ABS.  PS = Polystyrene.  PC = Polycarbonate.

It says >PS< on the bottom.  Thanks!

Now I need to find someone selling the paint remover and triangle cleaning tips.  (https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/finishing/craft-cotton-swab-7/)

Edit:

Wow, I can't find any 87183 paint remover in the states!  Closest is canada.  Ugh.  Will keep searching.

Try this instead, works the same. In fact this existed long before Tamiya released theirs.

I like this. Sometimes the easiest solution is the best.

I ordered the mr paint remover (couldn't find the tamiya stuff in the states at all) and triangle cotton tips last night... so I'll try that first.  After that, we'll see.

Be careful how you use it, that strips all modelling paints I know of (and auto paints as well).

I feel like this build is cursed.  I ordered 4x Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin 58365/58547 Aluminum Front + Rear Body Mount (Silver) from jazrider.com (not to confused with rcjaz.com) and they only sent 1 instead of 4.  !@!@#$#%!

I touched up the bodies the best I could.

I clear coated them and still need to build them.

I'm getting closer, but I really needed those body mounts.  :(

Drive the car backwards around your house 7 times while burning sage. That’ll fix it.

I don't think I know what that means?

I get that sometimes when building static models and I will just take a hammer to the thing before setting fire to it.

RC kits are too expensive do that though...

That is the process to exorcise the demons from your car.

That's what I was doing wrong. I was only doing it 6 times and a portal to another dimension kept opening up. Its 6 times for the portal and 7 times to fix it. At least I got the sage part right. Sorry, its been a long week folks, lol
