I know, right? Particularly as it has an actual and immediate practical benefit over the stock part, which isn’t always the case for  Hop Ups 😂

Are you saying titanium screw's aren't necessary 😲

Expensive bit of kit , amazed that Tamiya has never rereleased it

I purchased that then swiftly reverted to the original part.

Why's that?

It's a nice little bit of kit, but I thought it was quite heavy/clunky and battery changes were not that much faster than the original part.  Not that I was racing.

Also the original part gave the battery a little more protection and was not convinced about having the clips so close to the ground.

I agree about the faster battery changing time but this won't have that happen very often🙄

Nice! Worth the effort to hunt them down, they're definitely a better fit than full stabiliser ends 👍

No idea what they do but they look cool.

They stop the stabiliser bar sliding out of the mount

As luck would have it the battery (1700scrc) in the manual has purple end caps👍

Just to help with the colour scheme 😉

Last hop up fitted, just enough of the 3x10 titanium tapping screws 👍

Think it's done👍

I was going to use a Calibra Cliff body but it won't clear the bumper so that's going on a TB04R and I'll use the body off of that on the DJ

Any guesses to what body will sit on top?

Big clues!

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV or V? Mmh, but none of these had OZ wheels… So it must be a Ford Focus RS WRC 01 then

If so… great choice!

Smart man👍

Although I did add the wheel decals which should have been fitted!

Great work, that looks stunning 👏

I've managed to find an '01 body set for a future project, but the wheels are proving very hard to find (particularly ones that haven't gone yellow 🙄)
