You see the guys on robot wars with 2 transmitters per team. I suppose the either have the same crystal in or have some sort of lead that connects them. I would have imagined though that most transmitters with high numbers of channels would be on 35 mhz, the aviation frequency i believe. I might be wrong but you should get what i mean.

most radios out here in canada in the 4-9 channel radios, are 75 band for surface & 72 band for aircraft.if you have a certified electritian that knows what he/she is doing with rx & tx they should be able to tune & convert the unit on a 40 mhz band..... sanja.

You may also use old radio for planes. I personnally own a vintage Sanwa Stac 4, that features 4 channels plus various extra prop channels. This is a 27 mhz AM.

God I cannot figure out how my father was using this to pilot nitro planes : one of the most important pbl with 27mhz AM is that when the receiver wire is directly alined with the radio, transmission quality drops. this does not occurs with cars since the antena is always on the vertical position but often happens with flying devices when they are facing you (eg for landing [:(] ). The only solution is to make some vertical angles with the receiver wire. Was a bit of fun...

Ok, thanks, does anyone want to part with something like that, or any tips on converting 35 or 72,75 mhz to 40mhz[?]
