Thanks. It's mostly proline aluminium with a dash of proline red Polycarbonate air brush paint. Air brush is hard :(

Taking a break from the custom special to quickly shoot up a Mid body to b brought back to Perth. Not conducive for painting this time of the year. Better to paint in the tropics and bring the body to wet & cold Southern hemisphere.

The intention is to build a mid while I am back with the family but my luggage with hop up bits went MIA until yesterday :(

While waiting for the missing luggage, did up the stickers.

Finally, my bags arrived yesterday. Started the build tonight. EXO Design CF chassis. I really like this conversion kit.

This was waiting for me in Perth. LWB chassis of my own design. I had my usual guy laser cut for me & sent to me from the Eastern States. Will bring to Malaysia for build. I try to move the battery as far forward as possible in a transverse mount position. Fingers crossed

LWB chassis fitting seems good. Made a little mistake on the belt covers holes though.

Discovered another mistake. The front gerabox is too far back. Could not get the 657 belt to work. Luckily, I have the 648 belt.

For the second version, I think I can move the battery another 4mm forward.

Amazing collection @joeling! I have an affinity for Kyosho as well. Over the last year I've built a Turbo Optima, a Fantom, and an HOR motorcycle. I have an Optima and a 2nd HOR in the queue; all great kits and so much fun to build.

Do you run your cars? I was always curious if the Kyosho buggies were similar in driving dynamics, or unique in some way? The number of buggies with "Optima" in their name makes my head spin!

For some reason I like this Mid Custom Special body shape. So, I'm working to build a few with conversion kits and self designed chassiss bits usinf the rere as a base.

I really want to improve F/R weight distribution. Back to the drawing board :

Trying my very best to shift the battery to the front of the chassis.
