gizard 133 Posted September 1, 2022 I am rebuilding through diff on my BB, it has had a 13.5t brushless motor on it from the word go and been bashed alot so when I opened it up and found that one of the sun gears had shed a tooth and mangled some of the others I was not surprised, but pleased to discover I had bought a replacement set at the same time as buying the model! My question is am I mad in thinking to use some silicone sealant to run around the diff casing and also around the teeth of the dog bone cups to try and keep the diff oil in place for a bit longer? Hobgoblin 1058 Posted September 1, 2022 They're not really designed to have oil in them I think, so any sealing you may do may be slightly in vain. Can't hurt to try though. I had to use quite thick grease in mine but I liked it fairly stiff for loose surfaces.
