The Project X - The TRF221XM is done.

Recommended Posts

Thanks. I would love to share more pics and so but its not good in this case. Better showing real results then small steps.

Funfact, in my CAD history every single part has around 10-14 versions now. There will not be a single detail where you think "why this?".

This is an absolutely stunning project, but I don’t understand your information policy since April 2023 when you had shown the „final  evolution stage“.

Teaser follows teaser follows teaser…for me, the arc of suspense is overstretched and doesn't fulfill yet my expectations of an ending for such a cool project.

Or in other words, please „get the cat out of the bag“…  😉

Man I am sorry for this torture. I do not like to show things befor they are really done. To many projects got bespoken and never finalized, that is not the way I like to do it. By end of the month all boxes are sealed and thats the right time to show all details.

Also I have to admit, it is indeed a overstreched project. I would have counted with finishing all this by winter. Winter 2022 :D

Make a real production run of them. The design will sell well Due to more than Tamiya’s stagnation and while bulk manufacturing for saleable prices en masse will need to happen largely in Asia, you can still keep the original QA as you did the hard part in CAD/testing, so onward would be just business. Seriously. Small business opportunity here. Nice job on your buggy. It looks like a pretty tribute and quite fun to both build and drive.

This is what I am dreaming of. Datas are here, some minor changes need to be done for mass production of course. But this would need a pro partner who is into RC mass production anyway. Distribution etc... all this is not (or hardly) possible for a two-man-team.

Maybe knocking a certain door in Japan...

What shall I say, it is done! It took my partner and me about four years to realize this logical successor of the TRF211X. Enjoy some pics for now. More detail pics, further informations and manual/parts list as a .pdf will come in the next days. I am happy and excited to explain all details and discuss the result. For the moment it is late and I am tired from previous days of sorting and counting parts and screws, sealing bags, packing boxes and finishing the parts list and manual. 10 kits are done. Well... one is mine, one is already on the way to UK, my partner keeps some in his collection and what is about the rest? We will see but please respect to not ask for a price yet, it is not a sales thread, thanks.

Greetings. Thomas
